[KNIVES UP!!!] Chef Straykat Cooks No.1: Creamy Cheesy Beef!!! ๐ฎ๐ง

๐๐ง CREAMY CHEESY BEEF ๐ง๐
The idea of making the Creamy Cheesy Beef was from my urge to recreate my mama's recipe. It's certainly not the same, only similar. I kind of missed mama's dish and so I decided to try making it.
This serving is good for 2 persons or 2 meals (if you're not sharing it with anyone) but if you only eat in small portions, trying to save up, or in petsa de peiligro mode, you can certainly divide the servings into 3!
๐ฎ INGREDIENTS (BEEF MARINATE) ๐ฎ | ||

2 Beef meat cubes | ||
1 Tsp. Garlic (minced) | ||
1/2 Tsp. Pepper | ||
1 Tsp. Fish sauce | ||
Soy sauce | ||
1/2 Tsp. Majoram |
โ PROCEDURE โ
- Slice beef meat to the thinest slice you can make.
- Add all other ingredients. Mix and marinate for around 10 to 15 minutes or longer.
โก Note: The amount of soy sauce you need to put should just only be enough to be absorbed by the meat.

1 Medium Carrot (diced) | ||
1 Medium/large Potato (diced) | ||
3 Cloves Garlic (minced) | ||
1 Medium Red onion (diced) | ||
125 ml All purpose cream | ||
2 Tsp. Oyster sauce | ||
1 Tbsp. All purpose flour | ||
1 Tbsp Butter | ||
Cheddar cheese | ||
1/4 Beef broth cube (flavoring) | ||
Pepper | ||
Thyme | ||
Tarragon | ||
Rosemary | ||
Black sesame seeds |
โ PROCEDURE โ
Put butter on pan and add onion then garlic.
Add a pinch of thyme and rosemary. You can opt out rosemary if you don't have it in your kitchen. I just like adding rosemary because of its aroma.
Thrown in the marinated beef meat. Stir fry until the meat is cooked.
Add all purpose flour. Stir until the flour is mixed well into the meat.
Add oyster sauce and all purpose cream. Mix and bring to a boil.
Finally add carrots, potatoes, and beef broth cube (flavoring). Boil for 5 minutes.
Add pepper. Mix occasionally and check if the carrots and potatoes are already tender.
Grate cheese. The amount of cheese is up to you. In my case, I used half inch slice from the regular size of cheddar cheese sold in the Philippine market. This is probably equivalent to 1 to 2 Tbsp grated cheese. But you can always add more if you want or maybe use other types of cheese... like parmesan cheese.
Serve in plate (good for 2-3 servings) and garnish with tarragon (optional) and black sesame seeds on rice (optional). Enjoy!!!
This hearty dish was instantly a favorite of mine. I love cheese, so this dish becoming one of my favorites is a no brainer. Lol. I must say this is also one of the easiest to make.
Cooking Time: Good things take time. ๐ง๐ผโโ๏ธ
Straykat is a slow cook. She takes around an hour or two to make dishes. But if you can prepare the ingredients faster then you can probably make this dish in about 30 minutes or maybe less than an hour.
