Chelsea News - Pochetino praise his players spirited performance

The new Chelsea coach was quick to praise his entire team's performance in the 4-1 victory away at Burnley. He felt it was crucial for our confidence as he sought to continue developing during the break. Chelsea defeated Burnley 4-1 at Turf Moor in a dominant second half performance to make it three straight victories and earn back-to-back Premier League triumphs for the first time this season.

Raheem Sterling put on a strong performance, contributing to all four of our goals by pressing Ameen Al Dakhil to score on himself, being fouled for Cole Palmer's penalty, providing the cross, and scoring one of our goals himself. However, Mauricio Pochettino was keen to congratulate the entire team when asked about Sterling's performance and emphasised what he thought was a crucial victory to enter the international break on a high note.

All of the players strive to perform well, and today he did, contributing to both goals. I am pleased for him and the squad, added Pochettino. The group performed admirably, and I believe they are fully deserving of the praise. We are really thrilled for them and feel differently than we did during the previous break as we enter the international break. We'll use it to work on developing our players. Try to help injured athletes get better. We'll be working at the practise pitch for the next two weeks.

Naturally, the atmosphere is different from the break last month because it is much better to enter it with a win. However, we'll keep trying to improve and keep working hard for next month. When you give in first and then need to make the opening, you always feel proud since you earned that. It was totally unjust of us to surrender when we were the ones creating the chances and the team was playing brilliantly.

However, the team was excellent. We have a strong team as a whole. We were doing really well, but the players obviously understood that they needed to get better to contribute to the team's improved quality. Only with time did they start getting to know one another and working together. We've had too many problems, so we're now regaining players, which also raises the team's level. The competition will be fierce, and choosing the team will be difficult for me, but I enjoy doing it. I'm hoping that occurs soon.

Football is always about performance, and the players need to believe they are deserving of playing time. We must maintain consistency during every game if we hope to battle for significant goals. They'll need to compete well with one another for that.

Our team is incredibly talented, but for a variety of reasons, we are now unable to fully utilise their potential. Despite some unfortunate circumstances, I believe that eventually we will be where we want to be. When every player is healthy, there will be fierce competition, and it will be beneficial for the squad to maintain the level we need to compete for major prizes.
