Reflections of 2021 - Financial view

What a year it has being. I have come across a lot of post and comments of people talking about their year went and all that stuff. I myself multiple times have talked about how this year has being for me, speaking from a personal perspective to a financial perspective. I think my finances have seen the most significant improvements so far this year. The closest to it is my brain. I have being reading books all year. lol. So maybe you can call this 2021 highlight.

Hive has being a big part of my life. Most especially my finance. It's almost the end of the year and I thought I'd look through my bank statement and it turns out I earned as much as the what a civil servant on the dreadful meaningful wage would earn in a year. Looks small, but It's massive for me. This year saw me start outing part of my HBD in savings with 12% APR. That's massive .

That is something you don't get from traditional banks. Instead of having your fund doing nothing, they could just as well sit there and earn for you and you literally do nothing. Apart from the fact that its good for the hive ecosystem, it also helps one plan for future needs.

Over 70% of the purchase cost for my lens was covered by the hive I kept in savings. So it's a win win for you. This year also saw me invest quit.e a sum in crypto. I bought over 400 hive a few months ago, powered up everything. It was a joint decision with my friend @osarueseosato to earn passive income from.

This year has also seen me become a curator for a couple of projects. I've always wanted to help. I was and am still a newbie. I know how it feels to feel invisible in the avalanche of post that gets published everyday. It become my desire to support and encourage newbies who are trying to find there place here. It's never an easy thing to get curated but then there is the simple rule of putting out quality content and engaging with the community. It's really that simple. Offer your time and growth would follow. This days it pretty easy to now as there are a lot of amazing curation project. It's beautiful.

It has being a amazing year for me. Learning, wining, failing and so many victories. My personal life has also seen amazing improvement. Wait, why the heck am I writing this and what am I writing???!! Lol. Well, I just thought I'd talk about the beauty year 2021. The year that started on a very sour note but become a very pivotal year in my life. I got a lot of first times this year. Some of which are too personal to talk about. Still, a beautiful year this and in a few hours we usher in another year here in Nigeria. Other parts of the world are already in 2022.
