How to keep on going - even when the đź’© hits the fan!
“The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.”
- Marcus Aurelius
Let's chat about the not-so-secret ingredient to entrepreneurial success: Perseverance and Resilience.
It's little coincidence that the most successful entrepreneurs have a habit of dusting themselves down and standing tall after a fall (often repeatedly).
How do they do this? What gives them these superpowers?
I think it helps to try not to attach too much significance to outcomes. To see highs and lows as two sides of the same coin. Staying cool and calm in both cases.
Sure, you can still pop out the fizz when you win that super-duper new account, but try not to attach too much weight of emotion to THAT specific outcome.
Trust the process and understand that much of what happens is outside your control.
In a nutshell, don't take things personally and try to embody a 'bounce-back' spirit. Develop the perseverance and resilience that sees challenges as stepping-stones, as opposed to stop / failure signs.
