Do we really need more information?

avatar

We have more information at our fingertips than we've ever had in human history.

Our phones allow us to access answers to pretty much any questions at any time. Instantly.

We have a deluge of informational podcasts, YouTube videos and posts (like here on Hive!) where you can learn almost anything. For free.

Many swear by Twitter as a source of learning (if you follow the right people!)

But given all this abundance of information - why aren't we more wealthy and happier...?

Perhaps more information is not the answer?

Could it be that focus and execution have become the two skills that are being lost today....?

What are your thoughts?

I would like to say here is that modern technology has made us very lazy because whatever we need we take it on our mobiles and mostly read by ourselves. Do not like. Due to which, if someone asks us a question, we cannot answer it without a mobile phone.

Am struggling to keep up with all the information at my disposal as it is. What I would like is something that points me in the direction of useful and relevant information for me. AI generated recommendations are usually unsatisfactory and have me spinning in an endless web of content consumption

I agree. I start to wonder whether we know enough to get on without anything more (for a while). Almost like putting gates up temporarily!
