I took my son to the dentist due to some dental problems.
Today dentists no longer take impressions of teeth with the usual hardening paste. Today dentists scan the teeth and 3D print the upper and lower arch, simulating the bite. In this way the time to create a tooth model is much shorter than the classic technique and also has lower costs.
Let's get back to us. When my son and I went to the dentist to see the 3D printed model of my son's teeth, the dentist, in addition to an analysis of the dental situation, gave us a surprise: he gave us this 3D printed Batman mask . Since the dentist knew the size of my son's skull well, he made a mask that fits my son's head perfectly. The effect is what you see in the photo.

Questa maschera di Batman indossata da un bimbo di 8 anni ha un'origine particolare.
Ora vi racconto…
Ho portato mio figlio dal dentista a causa di alcune problematiche alla dentatura.
Oggi i dentisti non prendono più le impronte dei denti con la solita pasta indurente. Oggi i dentisti scansionano la dentatura e stampano in 3D l’arcata superiore ed inferiore, simulando il morso. In questo modo i tempi per realizzare un modello di dentatura è molto inferiore rispetto alla tecnica classica ed inoltre ha dei costi inferiori.
Torniamo a noi. Quando io e mio figlio siamo andati dal dentista a vedere il modello della dentatura di mio figlio stampato in 3D, il dentista, oltre ad un'analisi della situazione dentale, ci ha fatto una sorpresa: ci ha regalato questa maschera di Batman stampata in 3D. Siccome il dentista conosceva bene le dimensioni del cranio di mio figlio ha costruito una maschera che calza perfettamente sulla testa di mio figlio. L’effetto è quello che vedete in foto.
