With this post I would like to give a brief instruction regarding the topic mentioned in the subject

Writing an Email
I believe that by now, in all the offices in the world, the Internet is used.
When sending emails abroad, English is often used to communicate.
In this post I try to summarize the most common terms and concepts regarding writing an email in English.

Internet
Below I report the terms that I believe are the main ones to know. The terms below are the English terms that we will hear when we immerse ourselves in the world of the Internet and read/see this world in English.

to join or connect = to connect
the ability to use = access to sth
to use the Internet = to go online
to look at websites = to browse
to look at several websites for a long time = surfing the web
video clips = small parts of a video recording
to post = to leave messages

In the use of the Internet there are two English terms that identify the two main activities that take place within the universe of the WEB.

search = to look for something within the information that the Internet makes available to us
download = To take images, videos, information, programs from the Internet and transfer them to your personal computer.

Two other important words when we surf the internet are item and checkout

The goods that can be purchased on any website are called item
Once you have finished shopping online, you have to navigate to what is a sort of cash register and pay for the items purchased, this is what is called checkout

The use of email
When we use email and try to exchange information in English we need to know certain terminology.
When you use a graphical interface to send an email we notice that we have two options for sending emails to recipients, cc and bcc.
(cc) = carbon copies =
(bcc) = blind carbon copies
The difference between Cc and Bcc is that the latter hides the recipient's email address from other recipients, while the former makes the address visible to everyone.

Other English terms that I think are important when composing an email are:

recipient = is the person who will receive the email.
attach = attach photos, videos or files to the file.
to respond = is the activity that is performed when you usually receive an email and send another email as a response to the communication received.
forwarding = this is the activity that is performed when we receive an email and resend it, after having read it, to someone else.
acknowledge = This is the activity that is performed when you want to let someone know that the email has been received. It involves sending a message in which it is stated that we have received the email and that we will respond when we have time.

examples
Below are some examples with sentences in which we find the use of some of the terms described here
Let's take the following sentence as an example:
For privacy reasons, use the ___________ feature when sending an email to many people.
In this case we can have two choices: 1-carbon copy 2-blind carbon copy
Given the meaning of the sentence we can easily guess that the term that is missing in this sentence is blind carbon copy. I report the sentence below with the correct term in bold.

For privacy reasons, use the blind carbon copy feature when sending an email to many people.

Another example
Let's now take the following sentence as an example:
Please find ______________ my CV.
In this case we note that we do not have many choices or we should not have many doubts as it is talking about something that we have attached to the email. We have seen that the English term attached is used to identify something that has been sent together with the email.
So the complete sentence with the term in bold is the following.
Please find attached my CV.

Conclusions
If we want to surf the Internet or send emails we need to know the specific English terms that are part of this world in order to understand it well.

Con questo post vorrei dare una breve istruzione a riguardo dell’argomento citato in oggetto

Scrivere una mail
Credo che ormai, in tutti gli uffici del mondo, si usi internet.
Quando si spediscono delle mail all'estero molto spesso si usa la lingua inglese per comunicare.
In questo post provo a riassumere i termini ed i concetti più comuni che riguardano la scrittura di una mail in lingua inglese.

Internet
Qui di seguito riporto i termini che ritengo i principali da conoscere. I termini qui sotto sono i termini in inglese che sentiremo quando ci immergiamo nel mondo di internet e leggiamo/vediamo questo mondo in inglese.

unirsi o collegare = to connect
la capacità di usare = access to sth
usare Internet = to go online
guardare siti web = to browse
guardare diversi siti web per un tempo prolungato = surfing the web
video clips = piccole parti di una registrazione video
to post = lasciare messaggi

Nell'uso di internet ci sono due terminologie inglesi che identificano le due attività principali che si svolgono all'interno dell'universo del WEB.

search = cercare qualcosa all'interno delle informazioni che internet ci mette a disposizione
download = Prendere da internet delle immagini, dei video, delle informazioni, dei programmi e trasferirli sul proprio personal computer.

Altre due parole importanti quando navighiamo in internet sono item e checkout

I beni che si possono comprare in qualsiasi sito internet vengono definiti item
Una volta terminato lo shopping on line, si deve navigare verso quella che è una sorta di cassa e pagare gli articoli acquistati, questo è ciò che viene chiamato checkout

L'uso della mail
Quando usiamo la mail e proviamo a scambiare informazioni in inglese dobbiamo conoscere certe terminologie.
Quando si un interfaccia grafica per spedire una mail notiamo che abbiamo due possibilità di inviare le mail verso i destinatari, cc e bcc.
(cc) = carbon copies =
(bcc) = blind carbon copies
La differenza tra Cc e Ccn è che quest'ultimo nasconde l'indirizzo email del destinatario agli altri destinatari, mentre il primo rende l'indirizzo visibile a tutti.

Altri termini inglesi che secondo me sono importanti nell'ambito della composizione di una mail sono:

recipient = è la persona che riceverà la mail.
attach = allegare alla file delle foto, dei video o dei file.
to respond = è l'attività che si svolge quando solitamente si riceve una mail e si invia un'altra mail come risposta alla comunicazione ricevuta.
forwarding = questa è l'attività che si esegue quando riceviamo una mail e rispediamo la stessa, dopo averla letta, a qualcun altro.
acknowledge = Questa è l'attività che si esegue quando si vuole far sapere a qualcuno che la mail è stata ricevuta. Si tratta di inviare un messaggio nel quale è segnalato che abbiamo ricevuto l'email e che risponderemo quando avremo tempo.

Qui di seguito degli esempio con delle frasi nelle quali troviamo l'uso di qualcuno dei termini qui descritti
Prendiamo come esempio la seguente frase:
For privacy reasons, use the ___________ feature when sending an email to many people.
In questo caso possiamo avere due scelte: 1-carbon copy 2-blind carbon copy
Visto il significato della frase possiamo intuire facilmente che il termine che manca in questa frase è blind carbon copy. Riporto qui sotto la frase con il termine corretto riportato in grassetto.

For privacy reasons, use the blind carbon copy feature when sending an email to many people.

Altro esempio
Prendiamo ora come esempio la seguente frase:
Please find ______________ my CV.
In questo caso notiamo che non abbiamo tante scelte o non dovremo avere molti dubbi in quanto si parla di qualcosa che abbiamo allegato alla mail. Abbiamo visto che il termine inglese attached viene usato per identificare qualcosa che è stato inviato insieme alla mail.
Quindi la frase completa con il termine riportato in grassetto è la seguente.
Please find attached my CV.

Conclusioni
Se vogliamo navigare in internet o spedire delle mail dobbiamo conoscere i termini inglesi specifici che fanno parte di questo mondo per poterlo comprendere bene.
