Follow Friday: Luck of the Irish

The News

Happy St. Patrick's day for yesterday. We know Hive is great, but it may need some of that famous Irish luck to get better known. Failing that it is down to us all to get the word out. Talk to your friends about it, especially if they are putting out great content elsewhere, but not earning.

Prices

Crypto prices are still up and down, but as @acidyo says, Hivers are busy doing stuff rather than just looking at graphs. Just watching numbers is not fun to me, but socialising and playing games are.

Friday Follows

I have been doing #FollowFriday for well over five years on the blockchain and I have no intention of stopping. I think it has some value and would love to see more people doing this. You can share your post rewards with those you mention.

  • I bought a vinyl record from @langvmusic recently and he has just posted some new music.
  • @davidfar also has new music out that you can buy on @nfttunz.
  • My friend @the-bitcoin-dood has been busy riding his motorbike, playing Splinterlands and keeping up with crypto news.
  • @stephen.king989 has a cool machine to make intricate wood carvings.
  • @cteaho is a fellow runner who just joined Hive. He is looking for tips on what to do here.

The End

I think you need to play the long game with Hive. If you keep posting then you can keep earning, but it should be done as part of the community and not just selfishly. Support those who need it and they may return the favour. Do not just chase whales in hope of a big vote as they are busy people.

I have always told people to have fun here. Your time is valuable and you should use it well.

Hive five!

Thanks for including me in this weeks FollowFriday. Followed everyone on the list.

Awesome advice for new and old Hivers as well. Have fun, be yourself and post quality content regularly. Become an active member of the community and everything else generally falls into place. It takes time, so be patient!

I get that some people just chase the money, but that's just not my thing. I'm not that desperate.

Money chasers don't seem to last long here. It's about fun and community.

"Do not chase whales".. Very good point! I have been looking for people with smaller numbers of followers, as they're most likely not too busy (yet).
I like the mention bit, will make more use of that too.
Thanks, @steevc !

Those with less followers will really appreciate some engagement. Just don't over-use the mentions as it can get annoying in the notifications, especially when it was in a reply anyway ;)
