The News

I am back from my travels after three weeks away. I did some posts then, but I find it hard to put a longer post together on my phone (using Ecency) and so I posted less. Now I am back on my PC I can get back to my normal schedule. Whilst I was away I used Hive Vote to do most of my voting as I was not going to be online as much, although my contract allowed roaming in the US and Canada. I had my votes following @tenkminnows that supports some small accounts.

Prices

I get my price data from @coingecko. I had an email from them (apparently) mentioning a post I did about how I generate this graph saying they offer referral rewards, but I am not convinced that is genuine. I am not even sure how they got my email address. The email linked to a site using a shortened version of their name and that made me suspicious.

The $HIVE price dropped a little whilst I was away, but so did other coins. Some will see this as a buying opportunity. The way I see it is that you can earn every day here, so why not be active. Plus it can be fun. People spend a lot of time on other platforms that pay them nothing. If we can get more of them to come to Hive then it will be more fun for all. It does help when you can connect with friends.

It was interesting to see both @hivechain with their Keychain Store and @brianoflondon with V4V.app providing new ways to pay for things with $HIVE or $HBD. With free and fast transactions this could become something big.

Friday Follows

It is HPUD (Hive Power Up Day) and so I saw a few posts by people doing just that. This shows their confidence in the platform. I added a little to my HP too. I will mention a few of them:

  • @killerwot manages to post every day whilst dealing with a new baby. He is a writer and musician.
  • @raj808 is a poet who I met up with in Liverpool.
  • I met up with @brittandjosie at Hivefest in Amsterdam last year.

All these people have been involved in various projects around Hive that promote the platform and/or support other users. Getting involved in something like that can be one of the best ways to grow your account. People will notice if you do good work. If you just make it about promoting yourself then you may not get far. I have seen plenty of people who post a lot, but rarely comment. I built my account up by commenting a lot.

The End

I will be compiling the #BritList tomorrow. I have found a few people to add, but there will always be some I miss if they do not make it obvious that they are in or from the UK. Some do actually put misleading location information on their profile, but they tend to get found out. Dishonesty can have a price.

Hive five!

Something Big

I hope so! I look forward to the day I can buy a round for everyone at the pub, direct from HIVE earnings. Bask in glorious admiration for a moment. Then spend the rest of the evening onboarding new frens.

Commenting

I try to post once a day. And comment as much as I can, then reblog. So I feel that my blog feed says more about me and my interests than my posts feed.
Also, you've done most of the work here. Which is especially important when posting with @Ecency. Why on earth can't I copy text so I can comment properly?

That's the dream! Some of that is happening in places like Venezuela already.

We see that a lot of effort has been put into this v4v.app and people have started using it now.

Steve, it was YOUR sharing about your HiveFest Amsterdam experience that compelled me to plunge into the bay waters of Rosarito HiveFest.

We’re 3 weeks away from HiveFest and already I feel more at home here. Thank you for posting. It is appreciated.

Well I hope you have a great time. The events I have been to have been such good fun. Actually meeting people makes a big difference. I would love to go, but I've had my big trip for this year.

Nice to hear you're back. Yeah, guess that's just the truth 'cause I came here with the mind of blogging but with time I discovered it isn't just about posting but connecting with people.

Connection is the real key to growth

In few month, I have try going all around to feel good about the beauty of people's post and it has always been a wonderful time. I get to know people of value

HPUD isn't just for staking or expecting to earn more. It shows how matured you're

Consistency isn't easy

You must have given up to building and committing your best to the community

It's weekend, get ready to have a beautiful one 🤗🤗.

You have to find your community here. Some people just seem to comment on every post they find, but it helps to have interests common so that you have something to add to the conversation. It makes it more fun too.
