What it likes to be studying in IIM? - India's Premier Management School

Education cost in India is getting expensive day by day. What used to be a considered as temple for knowledge has now transform into a money making business. From *play school, to academic to private tuition to universities, each of them levy hefty charges for admission as well as for monthly fee for all the services provided.

This time I have to dealt with IIM fees whose 2 years management course fee is whopping 28 Lacs INR (35000 USD approx).

IIM stands for **Indan Institute of Managament. One of the premier autonomous education body that are various programmers in the field of business administration. Some of the top IIMians managed to crack high paying jobs in companies like, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft and others. They ensure 100% placement to the students.

My neice is one who manage to get the entrance cleared and took admission in the analytics course. The two year programme is costing her $35k , for which she has taken educational loan. The two years course includes the hostel charges alongwith fooding and study material. It was proud moment for us, as it is not easy to get admission in the premier Institute so easily. Visiting the building is itself gives a great feeling.

Red bricks building, sprawling lush green ground, that seems to be a common theme at every of these Institute. As I accompanied my niece for her admission process, I manage to snap few of the picture and sharing the same. Like the academic wings, the hostel too has same structure.

After completing the hostel formalities, I went on to see the room. Though it was not allowed but I manage to take the permission citing outstation candidate. She got a room on sharing basis on the second floor of the building. The room has a big open hall , which is like a common hall for. The hall is the gateway to 3 different rooms. So it is common hallway for 6 students.

The rooms seems to be a small, for two. But considering a student life it is more than enough. It has two beds and two study tables. Though the students have to manage the own bedding.

The big window, allows proper sunlight, and ventilation. But it needed to be covered considering these are ladies rooms. Covering allows no peeping g from adjacent blocks. Looking from the other angle it Ppears to be an idle room for studying.

The room.is attached with toilet and bathroom and also a cooking. It depends upon students if they needed to cook, else the Institute has its own fooding section serving 3 meals a dsy. The charge is included in the course fees.

After satisfying with the setup, I left her safely for building her career in next two years. Might she manages to pull up a gpty packages once she gets out from here. The expensive cost for the course will doesn't mean anything. It was a good experince for me to visiting the premier business school.
