To buy or not to buy - My Mobile Story
When we are living with limited resources, the choices to buy things or not depends entirely upon the needs or usage and also upon the buying ability. So many times we want to buy new things but ultimately have to give up after loooking upon certain things. Yesterday I spent entire day looking out for a new phone. My mobile handset developed a snag and its diplay started to discolour.
The handset is still working fine and running with zero issue and I am in love with this phone as this is very handy one for 3 years. However, the snag asking for a new handset. I looked upon the online shopping website for a handy phone, but surprised to find so many of them. Each of them promisses to be better than other. While the real story is a single manufacturer is producing differrnt handset under different brand name.
My need to change the phone in begining turns into getting it repaired / fixed. There were many factors which led me to this conclusion. As my handset does not have any function problesm I wanted to put it on exchange option to get some value for it, and I am also getting some really good deal. But the handset that I would be buying with exchange is not of my choice. It was either bulky, or quite big in size or not a regular brand. It was kind of force choice to make.
Not every phone carrying the exchange option. My concern is that if we are spending out some amount then we must get things of our choices. But this choice was like throwing upon my favourite handset just for getting some value. Finally In the evening I checked upon its repairing cost. It comes out to be far lessor amount as compaired to what I would be paying to get a new one. Which suits me more,as I do not want to spend more just for sake of a new phone. If the things can be fixed in cheaper then why to pay more.
What begun as a mobil3 hunting ended up with its repairing. I liked this way, as things are getting managed easily at a minimum cost and I can carry on my current handset use for another a year or two. We must content our requirement and do not carried away easily. First look upon if things can be managed and then take a big leap.
Let's hope it get a good treatment to be it me for another year or two.
It's always worth checking the options before forking out excess money. I do trust that your repair will hold up, but either way, I think you made a great choice:)
I repaired it from a local shop and it working fine...it's been two days ....better not to swayed with expensive phone till the existing phone is working fine.
This reminds me of how I had to sit and weigh my options before getting my current phone because it was quite expensive. The previous one was obvious scrap but it served me for almost three years
I m not even thinking for expensive...I always wanted to carry iPhone....but now I am settled with repaired one
All good ma gee!
