Learning the Photographer way - Cannon A1100IS

Photography is an art, and unless and untill we do not have a good armory with us, we can never gain the photography skill. Nowadays photography is everybody's game with good camera set up in Mibile handset but in earlier time, it is all about the passion to capture the nice moments and picture. I still own Kodak film roll camera from 1980. It is in Good and healthy condition holding a antique status in my home cupboard.

Now after so many years, I bought a second hand digital photography equipment and it looks nice to me. I bought Cannon Powershot A1100IS

It is an old camera model and currently not available in market. This silver colour equipment has a Sleek design and feels featherly light weight in hand. This is a well-made,compact digital camera made up of plastic body. The A1100IS is very slim in size, measuring 3cms thick when turned off the lenses. This makes it suited to either a trouser pocket or small camera bag. It weighs 155g without the battery or memory card fitted.

I did not had any digital camera, but always wanted to one. Whenever I get chance to visit my nephew place, I learn few skills from him. He is professional photographer and have many DSLR , equipments and drone. This one is from him only.

The Cannon powershot is equipped with 12.1-megapixel resolution and 4x optical zoom with Optical Image Stabilizer. I am yet to understand the image stabilizer feature. The Canon Powershot A1100 IS is quite a simple camera in functionality terms, with only limited photographic control on offer. The basic features of camers are located on top. It covers the Power button, Photography Mode Dial, Zoom Lever and Shutter button.

The bottom of the equipment holds the tripod mount right in the centre and a battery battery compartment on the right with a slide through button. The battery compartment also houses the SD memory card slot which can be ejected by pushing. On the rear of the amers is the 2.5 inch display LCD screen.

Right next to the display screen , we have many function control button. We can directly access the various focus and flash options on the camera by clicking left and right on the navigation pad, while the up and down are respectively used to set the exposure compensation and timer options while shooting.

The camera comes with battery charger. Which I placed straightway to power supply for charging. The camera was not in use since many years. The camera supports AA battery.

Yet to figure out how long, the battery works and how much time it takes for charging. The sleek design and good compact model will definately ensure good photography experince for a beginner like me.

As far as sample picture are converned, I am yet to take one but last time when I tried the camera, it worked fine. Let's hope it works in better way. And I will bring the images sooner once I go out for evening walk.

It is obvious, we cannot gain knowledge and experince without proper facilities, and a good camera is must to learn good photography.
