avatar

Haridwar is one of the famous shrine of India. One of thr ancient city and pligrimige centre of Northern India. It always comes up with a new color whenever you make a visit this place. This is the place where river Ganga exists the Himalayan foothills. People from all part of life visits the place to wash away their sins by bathing in river Ganga. It is one of the sacred river flowing in India. And the place is known as har ki pauri means stairs for god

The place is alwsys buzzing with people and you may find various sect of life all along the Ghats areas. Here are some of the picture I captured while 3alking down to the ghats in early morning time.

Outside the ghats -

As we approach the ghats, we found this datun seller right on the entrance. Though use of soaps and brushing is not allowed in the sacred river. These are meant to use outside in public convenience or outside the ghats.

This is need Datun, an ancient way of cleaning our mouth. Chew it at one end, make it softer bristles and then brush the entire teeth.
As I was clicking, this guy, a monkey on top tries to approach me. Those are very common as it haridwar situated In hilly areas.

So expect these monkey all over the place. And beware not to invite them by showing with estables. They alwsy creating nuisance, as one of them take away with Banana given to this bigger.

He has skater ready to scroll throughout the areas. Man with no legs, still he made his living by begging at the entrance. As we moved on, we found ourself on top of the flowing river. It was the overbridge that take us to the ghats.

Above the ghats.

On the bridge, there were many people sitting on eithe4 side along the iron railing. While you may kneaded wheat floor, to offer to the fish.

IMG_20230905_062534.jpg

Many people like to offer these small balls to the fish as a part of good deed and make purchases from these guys. There many of them.

IMG_20230905_062515.jpg

There were also a group of priests sitting and talking. They are kind of thugs if I assumed it right. They fool any person with fake talks.

20230912_104532.jpg

It is always advisable not to talk to strangers, and it stands perfectly for these men. We get down to the ghats from one of the stairs made on the Bridge.

On the ghats -

The scene at the ghats alwsys fascinates me. Ot there is something that alwsys excites me whenever I get near to the river. I used to be a frequent visitor, bit this time I ate after a huge gap.

IMG_20230905_062352.jpg

Small water gallons to take the scared water to home, the flickering lamps with flower p3tals are the most colourful aspect of the ghats. You may find many of them. They alwsys add a new vibes to this place. 2hile you also notices people getting ready after thr bath.

IMG_20230905_062404.jpg

Many people also like to spend time sitting with their loved ones. Being situated on the foothills of Himalaya, the place is lot cooler than the planes.

IMG_20230905_062429.jpg

I am one of them, who just love to sit quietly and watch te water flowing and enjoy the splashing sound. This ghats area get illuminated in the evening with diyas and also with chants during prayer times.

The road outside -

The road that lead us towards the ghats is a busy market places with lots of shops and surrounded by hills.

IMG_20230905_065513.jpg

We even have a Goddess Shakti temple up on the hills. Visitors to haridwar also make a visit to those hills, either on foot or through, ropeways. The vibrant and colour aspect of India are not hidden from anyone. And haridwar is one such place where you will get to explore many aspect of life easily. This is one of the scene shared only from the ghats of Haridwar.

Peace!!

Namaste @steemflow

Wow, it is so surprising that one could find fake priest in almost all parts of the world, I am so surprised to see these ones too.

Chewing stick is a common thing here and even until now our parents prefer them to all the paste and tooth brush available.
It is equally amazing to know that bathing in a river can wash away sins, this is such a beautiful place to visit.

Thugs are everywhere , we only need to identify them. Being a sacred place fake priest are their to earn money from the visitor. People have respect for them and they know how to take out money from you. Chewing sticks are the natural way of cleansing mouth and very beneficial for mouth. A good practice for older people
