Fight for Survival - The Pigeon Community

One of the peaceful birds and considered to be the symbol of piece, everyone loves to have a Pigeon around. And I have 35 of them around my home. They have been staying inside my house and when I cover3d their entrance they still lives around my terrace. It's been more than a decade association. They are of many colours and design. Each of them looks adorable.

I notices many of their behaviour. We know these birds and many animals have a instinct of different level. They have natural instinct of expecting something wrong to happen. One particular behaviour of these pigeon is that whenever there is gesvy rainfall, they started to get inside our home like anything. They make possible way to get inside to protect themselves.

Another behaviour of them is to look out for some foods early in the dsy. Especially during these days, when most of the field are covered with paddy. They do not find anything from.th3 fi3lds, so they expect something from the humans. Understanding their behaviors, I make sure to feed them. Todsy, I feed these innocent birds with Corns. And they happily accepted the treat.

They used to be afraid of humans, but for the sake of food they get as near to humans as possible. They were like touching my foot, when they saw the Corns. Each of them came running and started to enjoy their morning meals.

There is one more noticeable piece that I observed todsy. These birds community too like to have their fight for survival. Few of them try to eat as much as possible, and like to have more share from others. In order to stop others in the group, they tries to spread their wings to stop others to comes nearby.

By spreading their wings they show their power to others, and seems the others too happily accept. I never seen other with such peculiar behaviours and neither they object to this attitude of one of them. They happily graze upon all the Corns.

It was pretty difficult to capture, when they were running around the terrace to fetch their share of Corns. I gave them around 5 Corns and they happily satisfied to eat them. These time of year seems to bit difficult for them as they find its hard to find any. So feeding them now and then os good deed and I always care to feed them their share. Either rice or Corns. That is the reason that they still prefer to stay near my home.

Peace!!

Namaste @steemflow

It's good to take care of these beautiful creatures...during rainy days, these birds find it hard to get their stiffs..

I think they notice when a human is genuinely being nice to them. Like, they get if your thoughts towards them stem out of care. And it's wonderful that you provide it for these pretty creatures, @steemflow

Pigeons are intelligent and intuitive birds, dear friend @steemflow, and they are increasingly closer to humans. It's good to see you feeding them. Beautiful photographs. Thank you very much for sharing this experience. Have a beautiful morning

You can say that again, they draw closer to humans because of food but who wouldn't draw closer to you if you actually have what they want. I love how you took your time to feed them, I guess that is why they always stick around you

Ohhh...that's true...people do get closer but I guess these animals have the unconditional loving habit....they always remain around my house even if they don't eat any treat

everyone loves to have a Pigeon around? no, not at all! I had problems with my neighbors, who became angry at me feeding pigeons from my window (cause their windows got all that meal digested, soon after that). pigeons are pretty dirty and impudent birdies 😜
