You Have a Role: Beyond Just "Needed"

This is the topic of today’s message at church today and it was very powerful. It went beyond just being you are needed covers quite a lot of other things.

The message behind the title “You are needed” is that everyone has a role to play in this world. We have an impact to play in this world and we are not here for no reason. Hence this is why we should try make ourselves useful, contribute to the lives of others while we can, as we don’t live our lives for just ourselves alone but also for others.

This really touched me because I have always had this mindset from the beginning before I joined Hive. I have always seen myself existing not only because of myself but to provide a greater good to anywhere I find myself. This is why I help people a lot and also in a way contributed to the birth of Newbies Initiative.

Another lesson I could get from today’s message is this:

That every challenge we face today, prepares us for a bigger opportunity tomorrow.

I so much believe in this statement, as that we go through various challenges today that has shaped who we are today. In life, I understand we are meant to face challenges so that we can grow. Depending on how we see these challenges, corresponding to how we phase through them.

When I joined Hive, I faced a big challenged being consistent here. I literally hated blogging and even writing essays in general but I just had to continue. I kept doing it, kept being consistent the best way I can and look at myself now. I have faced through these challenges, and seen how I have been shaped.

Not every challenge is a stumbling block, but a direction to a stepping stone.

People don’t like stress, even me, I don’t like stress and because of this, we try as much as possible to avoid facing through challenges and these can causes one to miss opportunities. Some challenges that we face in our lives are not actually a stumbling block but are there to shape us for what is ahead, they serve as a direction to a stepping stone. We don’t know what lies, but they are what shape us to prepare for what is to come.

This is why we should give a positive mindset to whatever situation we find ourselves. We should remain optimistic and try to do our best regardless of how challenging the situation is. We actually don’t know who is watching how we handle situations and how they may contribute to taking us to the next levels of our lives.
