The Battle of the AI Titans: Google's BARD AI Takes on Microsoft's ChatGPT

In a way, I was expecting this to happen. With Microsoft launching ChatGPT in partnership with OpenAI, I was thinking about what would happen to Google. Would people suddenly stop using Google and turn their attention to ChatGPT, or would the use of Google just gradually decrease?

So, I knew that Google wouldn't take this lying down and they released their own AI, which they nicknamed "THE CHATGPT KILLER!!!" Personally, I don't like the name but it seems like they're trying to let the public know that they're in the competition. Additionally, Google's AI will likely be seen as "the other guy" in comparison to ChatGPT.

So, what is the name of this AI that Google announced? It's called BARD AI. To me, that name is very plain and I really need to find out why they named the AI BARD. I don't know about you, but I don't really like the name. It doesn't sound cool and it doesn't give me the impression of an AI. However, the name isn't as important as the functions that the AI will come with.

So, what makes Bard AI different from ChatGPT? This is the first thing I thought of when I saw the announcement of Google's AI. What are they bringing to the market that they've nicknamed their AI "The ChatGPT killer?" Honestly, I haven't seen much so far except that it was said that it would be completely free and everyone would be able to access it directly by simply making a Google search.

Additionally, Bard AI uses LaMDA technology, which stands for Language Model for Dialogue Applications, while ChatGPT uses GPT. I would really like to try out Bard AI when it launches to see the key differences between both AI's. I'd like to ask them the same questions and see how accurate their answers are, or how much they can mimic human responses.

Bard AI was said to have feelings like a human and to be able to give more human-like responses, and to relate to our emotions. Based on what I read, this makes me anxious to see Bard's responses and if it really deserves the name "ChatGPT Killer."

Right now, I heard that it will be released to the public this coming Monday. I can't wait. Would you like to try out Google's Bard AI as well?

I read that BARD will have extended answers up to the year 2023, you know that ChatGPT response stops at the year 2021. Also, BARD won't give erroneous and violent answers.

The AI will have some human feelings, rather than giving answers like a machine.

Thank you for this update boss, I can't wait as well to see the differences.

Yeah those included as well. Since Google has a powerful search engine, that's why it is very possible to have updated response to 2023.

Google is a tech giant, I know they won't allow ChatGTP to ruin them.
With the advent of all these AI, do you think companies will be hiring many writers in the future??

I'm really looking forward to this then. But to be honest, BARD is the most drab name for an AI ever.
If they are posing to make this AI's responses more humanlike, then it's something to look forward to.
Thanks for this update.

Like you have said in your write-up, the name isn't so important, the important part is if it beats your expectations then you might begin to love the name. As per the writers' part that @actordontee mentioned, I feel sorry and pain for writers already😧

When I saw Bard.. what came to my mind was Bard is Bald 😅😂...

Let's see how it performs when it launches fully...

There would be the introduction of new skills, and I think writers will re-strategize and learn new skills.

Yeah, that's true though but I just feel sorry for those writers that'd be the lab rat.

On the contrary, I kind of like the name "Bard" for the AI. It sounds more like an AI to me, like "Sophie" or "Steve"—something short.

I was pumped to hear about Google's AI coming soon. It was expected anyway. Considering that Google must have experienced a massive drop in daily search statistics since ChatGPT, they needed to fight back.

Bard AI had better have something newer; otherwise, people would only use it simply because it's free and may be less jammed when there are a lot of people since they are only releasing the lightweight version, one that requires less computing power.

Yeh I get, not everyone has the same preference. To me Bard doesn't sound spectacular...

Google would not let anything take away it's Glory.. always wants to remain at the top.

Lol I thought I was the outlier. Bard is cooler than ChatGPT in my opinion. ChatGPT sounds like an app, BARD sounds smart just from the name. Kinda like the AI names we see in the movies.

ChatGPT really does sound like some app or software and not like an AI. Bard, on the other, is a name that I find really cool. And, yes, more like the kind we see in movies.

I am excited to try it out on Monday. How about you, man?

Hmm, this is amazing, let's wait and which one is better sha, who knows maybe Chat GPT would be nicknamed "BARD AI KILLER".

But it's cool, competitions like these only helps to make things better, at least for the users.

Lol true, it could end up being the other way round, we just don't know yet.

I agree this was about to happen either Google or MS were going to partner with OpenAI but I wouldn't take out Google of the race, consider the years they have of data farming and studying users behaviors, Im sure Bard must be a good competitor, thx for sharing ✌️
