NOT JUST YOUR ORDINARY BLOGGING EXPERIENCE
I know many of you might think this post would be about my experience blogging from the day I joined Hive to this present moment but let me tell you, this time it is different. If you want to know about my experience from the day I joined Hive, I have written different blogs for that are you can read them here:
This time, I would talk about how I derive inspiration to write. Nowadays, it is not easy for me to write due to many activities I am doing on the chain. I mentor a lot of newbies on chain and those who I have physically brought on Hive which is over a 100 newbies, with roughly over 60 active; trying to curate their contents and engage on some. At the same time, I am constantly bringing new people to hive, helping them with introductory posts and the other mentoring process continues until they can navigate themselves.
Moreover, I have my personal lives which I am involved in, I am taking a physical class in Automation Engineering While at the same time taking an online course in Clouds/DevOps Engineering. I am doing these two at the same time trying to balance studying both courses.
With all these on my table, it is quite tough to think straight on what content to make. Making a blog everyday would not give me time to do all I do at the moment that is why I limit myself to 3-4 days of the week to publish my content.
With that, it is still tough when it comes to video creation, I mean my guitar videos because that alone specifically needs time and hours spent in scoring the music before we think of the trouble involved in making mistakes and errors while making videos and starting again.
I must say I am not really a active commenter on Hive as I used to, and it is understandable, I cannot be online on Hive as I used to with what is on my table though I spend those free days when I don't blog to go around leaving a comment on posts and articles.
Last week, I broke down; I fell sick due to the stress I had been putting myself in. I had been sleeping late and waking up very early. For example; Today, I slept 3:30am after finished writing a contest post for Cross Culture Community and I woke up again by 6am, to go through Hive, and do some curation before thinking of settling my mind towards creating this content.
Yesterday, I was awake still pass 3am also, because I was busy going through videos from my online class on Cloud Engineering before waking up 7am to prepare for my physical Class in Automation Engineering which starts by 10am in the morning. I was dozing in the class but no one could relate why, or could understand why I doze in almost every class.
We can say, I roughly sleep 3-4 hours daily if I have a busy day and let me not talk about my weekends; they are the most busiest of all as a Church Musician.
Also you should know that it is rare to see me doing one thing at a time, I am always multi-tasking. For example as I am writing this post, I am busy over WhatsApp guiding a new person who just created her account on how to create her Intro Post.
HOW I DERIVE INSPIRATION TO BLOG
There is one thing I need to make sure when I want to write a blog, which is to make sure I am with a full belly or have a soft drink beside me while I write to feed my brain the sugar it needs to work actively.
Because of this, I am best active writing post when I am in a restaurant. As I write, I keep my belly filled by buying food anytime I feel any sign of hunger. Also to keep my mouth in activity either eating or drinking. I have pictures to share when I was writing this post made in the @newbies-hive account.
Even when I study, It is always fun studying while having something that makes my mouth run. What I read enters faster than any other method. This works for me and you should feel free to try this most especially when you want to dedicate a day to engage with other authors and not post.
You would see the fun in commenting with other users while taking a sip of 5Alive for instance or maybe coke, or eating a delicious meal. Inspirations for articles would be following through your mind while you engage with other authors because we would be able to relate to what ever they say and have your points to share as well both in comment section and making a post.

This man, you and food 😅😅😅😅. I'm mostly creative at midnight, when its very chill, in a ventillated environment. I can relate to how you manage to squeeze all that schedule on limited time. Hopefully you get to finish quicker.
Lol..Food is life, and Good food means Good life.
Man, we be brothers from another, you surely can relate.
Yes oo, it's very important.
You're doing a lot everywhere wow, and you're doing it so well that you leave me wondering how you manage to cope.
You're good. You're studying different lines of engineering from different places and the same time carrying out your activities on Hive, tell me, why won't you fall sick? Please try and rest more often😟, I don't know how you're going to do it but please do it.
After all you can do many things at the same time, lolz, that's on a lighter note, please just rest and give yourself the rest you deserve because if anything happens to you, it will affect many of us even your family.
Hope the program you're running online will soon end?
Yeah, my friends tell me I put myself under a lot of stress. And yes, we are doing it to prepare for the future.
The program is not ending anytime soon oh.. the online program is still the next 9 months while the physical is the next 4 months at least.
By God's grace, nothing would happen to me.
Okay, Amen to your prayers. Please take care.
Omo, you are really into stuffs. I celebrate thy grace!!🙌. I can relate to the fact that it seems as if 24 hours ain't enough again.
Very well, as the Yorubas do say, you cannot be hungry and you'd have another issue. You gotta solve the food, first! That is for me too.
But really, @starstrings01 you are doing a great job on Hive but you gotta still take care of yourself. I'd suggest one of these
weeksdays, you take a vacation, it may not be from Hive totally but like reducing the workload by deliberately not attending to them or with an earlier memo saying you would be on vacation. 😁it is just an advice, though.
Smiles.. I would be doing that next week. I would be going for Easter break.
Oh, that is a good idea, then.
Lol, reading and chewing🤣
That's my habit brother 😅... Nothing feels better 😅😂
There is one thing I need to make sure when I want to write a blog, which is to make sure I am with a full belly or have a soft drink beside me while I write to feed my brain the sugar it needs to work actively.
Very important🤓 I understand how hectic your schedules have been but God is your strength and thanks a lot for mentoring and educating the Newbies, you’re greatly appreciated 💯✅
Yeah thanks brother, I should be more grateful to the hive learners community for making things easier!
even i do the same thing, i always prepare some food so that my mind is integrated with what i'm going to write, this helps me focus more on every word i write 😀
Exactly.. food brings focus man 😁
Wow, bro it's not easy being a man o. There's just a lot to do, and very little time to do it. I guess everyone under your wing should get you a bottle of chilled drink and a nice babe to cool yourself down on a regular basis, because you deserve that and a lot more. Creating time, curating, mentoring and even going to the extent to engage with comments, it's certainly not easy and you do it quite gracefully.
I saw how you were struggling in your last video on Hive Learners, I hope you're recuperating better now, I guess your body is telling you that you need to take a break and rest more. I'm sure with time you'll do that.
Ómo! Una dey intimidate person, @josediccus yaf blind our eye with one gigantic chicken picture like that, now you're showing us white nylon and rice and chicken..😩😩...how we wey no fit afford chicken go do now??, Lol
You're right bro, the mind has to be relaxed to be able to function well. Food is a great way to calm down the mind..
Great post!! Glad I stumbled on it ❤️✅
Bro in my last video, see ehn I am grateful to be better than I was that time. Wasn't feeling well but was trying to force myself.
Man needs to chop to be in the right state of mind oh brother!
Na even yam and egg with chicken that's inside the white nylon self.
Really awesome that you have 100 newbies joined. Of which 60 are active. Also helping different people in different ways is really awesome.
Yeah it's awesome but never easy.. we are just pushing it.
I picked my pen and paper to jot things down, food and soft drinks i will try and see
You have certainly learnt something man.. food and drinks does the trick 😁
Hello @starstrings01 it's good to read about you. I'm glad you shared this because I've been having a hard time balancing my studies and my writing. Some days like yesterday, I totally run out of motivation and ideas.
I'll definitely try the eating technique😂
Which school are you in?.. maybe na private school or poly. As I know federal schools are on strike. So you would have more time now if you go to federal school.
Lol. I attend a federal university. We're on strike but this girl is still reading.
University of Nigeria Nsukka.
This one is after first class 😅😂😅😂. I left that first class train before I entered the university. 😅😂
No dear. You're getting it all wrong. First class is not even in my agenda at all, no one would dare pressure me to graduate with a first class.
I'm an English student. We do a lot of summarizing, explaining according to context of novels during examinations. It drives me crazy.
I have about 20 recommended texts, i.e novels, poems, to read. So I'm trying to take advantage of the strike to try to cover a lot because last semester's exams wasn't funny. I am afraid. I won't lie😂
If you know William Shakespeare and you know what his works are like, you'll understand this.
Shakespeare is very popular, I know him. We are opposite, I haven't read half the pages of a novel before not to talk of about 20 recommended text..I am not really fan of novels.
So imagine imagine what I have to put up with. It's better now that school isn't in session but once we resume it will get really difficult to still be very active on Hive but I'm going to try my best.
Well done champ seeing you have a lot on your table and still get to make everything work out it a whole lot of work.
Don't forget rest is always important.
I see where how you get your inspiration..lol well done champ
Lol rest is what I deprive the most. That's why I am awake by this time!
Yes it obvious.....lol
WOW, so many things to learn in these posts!
While everyone is talking about how they work from a phone or a PC, and how they put thoughts together, our Oga say na food be the way oh!
Henceforth, I'll be like you. The next blog will be written in Genesis restaurant, while the following will be in maybe, Kilimanjaro restaurant, if and only if they will accept Hive instead of naira.
Truly a unique blogging experience!
Lol.. about that phone and PC thing. I use both and it depends on my feelings and environment. But I prefer using my PC to make articles but all my video contents are written using phone.
If you are going to a restaurant, call me oh. I like free food biko.
Lol. No be small free food!
Don't worry, when I become a whale on Hive, I'll open Hive restaurant nationwide! Free food for whales like you too!
Amen oh I be whale!!!

Wow, you are doing a lot, I can't even imagine balancing all these things together, clearly you are superhuman.
Lol... Super human... Na Grace oh.. seriously it's grace.

Oh my God! @starstrings01 you are really doing a lot of thing at same time with only one brain . I respect the grace of God in your life biko but not withstanding , I think there is a need for you to create a resting time table and stick to it despite the work load on your table. This is very necessary for the brain to be active because it's not easy bringing in new things from the brain.
What an amazing journey so far
I'm interested in your words "which is to make sure I am with a full belly or have a soft drink beside me while I write to feed my brain the sugar it needs to work actively". I will try your way like that :)
I know you are very busy person and really struggling with the time maintaining. But I'm really glad to see your interest in blogging. You've really come a long way.
