Money vs. Wisdom: Which is Worth More? My Personal Preference
The age-old question of whether to pursue money or wisdom is a debate that has raged on for years. Each individual's decision is determined by their current situation, resources, and goals. Those who choose money usually have the wisdom to prosper, while those who choose wisdom are not necessarily wealthy.
It is important to note that anyone can choose wisdom, and those who do often prosper more than those who choose money without the knowledge and wisdom to manage it effectively. The acquisition of wisdom leads to prosperity, and those who have it possess the rudiments of success.
If a person chooses money but lacks the wisdom to manage it, they may lose it without even realizing it. Even if they hire someone with more knowledge and wisdom, they may still be at risk of being robbed of their riches, as they may not be wise enough to detect their newly employed adviser's schemes.
According to "The Richest Man in Babylon," a wise individual can quickly secure gold, while those who have it without wisdom will soon lose it. This line can be interpreted to mean that a poor person who chooses wisdom can become wealthier than they could ever imagine.
As for me, I know that if I were given a large sum of money right now, it would be a game-changer in my life due to my limited knowledge and wisdom about money. If I had been asked this question a few months ago, I would have chosen money, as I did when @samostically posed it in their weekend engagement posts for Hive Naija.
However, as I began to read books and seek knowledge and wisdom, I found that I had a growing appetite for more. The pursuit of wealth is never-ending and is more fulfilling when it is earned through one's own efforts rather than given freely. As a result, I would choose to acquire wisdom over receiving money freely. With my newfound knowledge, I would grow my riches and achieve my goals.
What about you? What would you choose, and why?

I think it's a balance of both. Knowledge is generally more valuable(a lot of things are more valuable than money 🤣), but it's should be applicable, else it's just useless information.
Exactly. There is no use of something where there is no form of application or action to be made.
Definitely wisdom. I think it is a core foundation that makes you understand life in general. Including understanding how money works and how to acquire wealth. Wisdom is structure in the traditional sense of the term. While money is an airy-watery principle that's looking for a structure to hold it.
Very well, it is quite understandable that one without wisdom in certain dimensions won't choose it over money. Just as general as it seems, 'what you don't know, you don't know!'
I don't think I understand this, @starstrings01. Pls throw more light..
When I said anyone can choose wisdom, I meant both rich and poor people can choose wisdom. But those who seek wisdom always prosper than people who lack wisdom but yet choose money over wisdom.
Uhm, I see.. I guess it was common English that hindered my understanding of that part .
Keep up the good work, boss.
the real trick is not to make money, the real trick is know how to hold that money that you just made, only time and experience can teach a men the art of keeping gains ... wisdom over money, thx for sharing ✌️
He is right, you have to choose wisdom, where it is, a good administration with money will help you. I hope you continue to grow in wisdom, your wealth too. Greetings from venezuela
It is wisdom for sure. Right from when I was little, I will always choose wisdom. I kinda have a things of wisdom, I have always cherish people who are wise and knowledgeable.
This is something true. Human needs are never satisfied, one just keep workin for money. But having wisdom to deal with it or life in general, is worth it.
I mean what’s champagne without ice ? You need wisdom to know how to use money . Also if you have wisdom you will definitely have/make money !
