[ENG/ESP] 3 HOURS BEGINNER TUTORING ABOUT HIVE TO JOANNA || 3 HORAS DE TUTORÍA PARA PRINCIPIANTES SOBRE HIVE A JOANNA
Hello friends, meet Joanna; @peace-scribe on Hive. A new friend of mine who I recently met last week. She was introduced to me by @joshuajessie who wanted me to bring her on top Hive and also tutor her. At first, I must say I hesitantly accepted at first because I thought of how many people I have on my look out and how busy my life is but I just had to first see if she enters my criteria of people I would love to onboard.
Definitely I do because I have come to understand that everybody can join Hive but not everyone can face the struggle of being here. I mentioned in one of my previous post that the quality of a good Hiver is dependent of 3 C's which is Content, Character and Mindset.
If I notice that you have content i.e. a skill or a talent, then I know that I only have the responsible to build your character i.e. your mindset towareds Hive because one need to have a good mindset on how Hive ecosystem is before stepping into it.
Hola amigos, os presento a Joanna. Una nueva amiga que conocí la semana pasada. Me la presentó @joshuajessie que quería que la trajera al top Hive y que además fuera su tutora. Al principio, he de decir que acepté con dudas porque pensé en la cantidad de gente que tengo pendiente y en lo ocupada que está mi vida, pero sólo tenía que ver primero si ella entra en mi criterio de gente que me encantaría embarcar.
Definitivamente sí porque he llegado a entender que todo el mundo puede entrar en Hive pero no todo el mundo puede afrontar la lucha de estar aquí. Mencioné en uno de mis posts anteriores que la calidad de un buen Hiver depende de las 3 C's que son Contenido, Carácter y Mentalidad.
Si me doy cuenta de que tienes un contenido, es decir, una habilidad o un talento, entonces sé que sólo tengo la responsabilidad de construir tu carácter, es decir, tu mentalidad hacia Hive, porque uno necesita tener una buena mentalidad sobre cómo es el ecosistema de Hive antes de entrar en él.
I don't want to say much about Joanna because she is yet to create her introductory post, but I can tell you that she has a good potential which was what gingered me to take her in.
In the picture above, she came over to my place yesterday which I had to clear up my time so I could brief her about Hive.
I said so many things which I probably don't remember again but I remember that she is good at asking questions, and those questions helped me better in covering a lot.
No quiero decir mucho sobre Joanna porque todavía no ha creado su puesto de presentación, pero puedo decir que tiene un buen potencial que fue lo que me animó a acogerla.
En la foto de arriba, ella vino a mi casa ayer que tuve que despejar mi tiempo para poder informarle sobre Hive.
Le dije muchas cosas que probablemente no recuerde de nuevo, pero recuerdo que ella es buena haciendo preguntas, y esas preguntas me ayudaron a abarcar mucho.
She did not only ask a lot of questions but made notes of everything I said to her. The image above is a picture I took of the jottings she took when I was explaining some things to her.
We spent Over 3 hours together, starting from discussing about different Hive interfaces, to communities, to resource credits, to Upvote and downvote power and lots more.
The most important thing I made sure to cover up with her was brushing up her mindset of Hive and not letting her think of it as a Rich Quick Scheme like many popular past platforms in Nigeria.
For me this part of our discussion is the most important part of it because without a good character and mindset, she would not last on the chain even though she has the content.
And if one doesn't have a Good Character or Mindset, it is not possible to be consistent on Hive.
No sólo hizo muchas preguntas, sino que tomó notas de todo lo que le dije. La imagen de arriba es una foto que tomé de los apuntes que hizo cuando le estaba explicando algunas cosas.
Pasamos más de 3 horas juntas, empezando por discutir sobre las diferentes interfaces de Hive, las comunidades, los créditos de recursos, el poder de Upvote y Downvote y mucho más.
Lo más importante que me aseguré de tratar con ella fue que se le aclarara la mentalidad de Hive y que no pensara que era un esquema de enriquecimiento rápido como muchas plataformas anteriores populares en Nigeria.
Para mí esta parte de nuestra discusión es la más importante porque sin un buen carácter y mentalidad, ella no duraría en la cadena aunque tenga el contenido.
Y si uno no tiene un buen carácter o mentalidad, no es posible ser consistente en Hive.
I am glad that I have been a positive product of Hive as I was able to share her my stories and past struggles which she needed as an inspiration to put in the effort when she comes in fully.
The way I tried letting her know effort is needed and her not to be fully focused on the rewards as a newbie, I also made her know that the rewards would surely come.
I just tried my best not to over sugarcoat Hive but still yet make her know how amazing Hive is and how much it can change her life as it has changed mine.
Me alegro de haber sido un producto positivo de Hive, ya que pude compartir con ella mis historias y luchas pasadas, lo que necesitaba como inspiración para esforzarse cuando entrara de lleno.
La forma en que traté de hacerle saber que el esfuerzo es necesario y que no se concentre totalmente en las recompensas como novata, también le hice saber que las recompensas seguramente llegarían.
Me esforcé por no exagerar con Hive, pero le hice saber lo increíble que es Hive y lo mucho que puede cambiar su vida como ha cambiado la mía.

Hmm, I'm envious of her in a good way though. She bringing her writing materials is a good step for her, it only means she is ready to learn.
