Easter Holidays Enjoying My Favorite Meal
Last week was the beginning of Easter, during which I had to travel home to spend the weekend with my family. I have missed home a tiny bit, but I still prefer staying at my place at school because of the privacy. One of the things I miss most about home is my favourite canteen spot, where I get to buy pepper soup at a very cheap price.
Every time I head home, the canteen is always the first thing on my mind. I always make sure to visit the place to have a good African plate and pepper soup.
In my eyes, the food itself is art, a true definition of beauty. The yellow Eba made with yellow garri and the delicious taste of their Egusi, which all cost $1.6 each, are reasons why I will never stop coming here!
I wanted to make some nice photographs of the yellow garri by taking the upper and side views. I love yellow garri when it is used to make eba. It has a very interesting taste, unlike the white garri, which tastes not so good when it is in my mouth when I eat it after it has been moulded into Eba.
The Eba was so soft and smooth on the hand. The person who made it must surely be a professional in the kitchen, with the texture of how the eba was. I have never made eba that is as soft as this, and I wish I could.
This is the soup that I ate with the eba. I requested for Egusi and Draw Soup, which is why I was given this. The draw soup is actually Egbonno soup. There are other draw soups like Okro, which has been a long time since I ate it last.
I like the combination of the draw soup and Egusi; it gives a very nice and relaxing taste.
Now we have the pepper soup, which is what I loved the most. For the pepper soup, I ordered both catfish and goat meat. I was happy that they had catfish available, as most of the time, catfish is not always available to be sold.
I always enjoy the taste of the pepper soup, so I had to pour some of the pepper soup into my egusi so that I could finish up my eba.
After I finished my hunger, I had to control myself because it felt as if I should order another plate, which would make me spend more than I had planned. This is the main highlight of how I spent my Easter!
Nigerian food looking so tasty. Definitely one day will try
Yeah the food taste very really nice! I want to taste food from other countries too. I'm tired of Nigerian foods... 🤣😂
My brother you gas control yourself that's why even the bible says flee,
After taking one plate it would be like you should rewind what just happened but since it's not possible one part of your mind will tell you that you can substitute the impossible rewinding for an order lolz🤓😁
You really enjoyed you easter bro
Kudos
Yeah oh... I enjoyed my Easter the way I would love to. Bro, it was close that I almost ordered another food...
Haha
Thank God you resisted the temptation if not you might even use your transport fee
Lol... it is a trekkable distance away from home
I've come to understand your love for food.😂 But, in all honesty, our dishes look incredibly appetizing. I'm happy you were able to exercise constraint and not spend more than what you had intended to. And I usually feel like that sometimes when it comes to family. We love them but we enjoy our space too.
Yeah you are right, our dishes are great and they look really good. It was not a small thing exercising constraint to buy more but glad I did it.
Omo this is what a need right now
Eba ati obe egusi
Meh this is top notch food for this kind hot weather 🤣
Yes oh! plus having peppersoup to step it down with cold drink...
This pictures are making me miss home.... Can't wait to be done with exams so I can travel back home
How's your exams going, hope it is not too stressful?
Stressful is an understatement but it is what I signed up for so I can't complain
It is very obvious that you had a good time celebrating Easter at home. I am not a great fan of Eba, but I couldn’t help but salivate as I saw those pictures.
It is that pepper soup that is actually entering my eyes the most. I am really craving it, but it’s too scarce around here, and can be very costly too.
Actually I prefer when my Eba is yellow. It taste better than the normal colour and I am sure you would like it if you try it. When it comes to eat swallow, I prefer eating it with fufu.
Hmm see enjoyment oo, no wonder you're fresh like today bread 😃😃 you sabi good things abeg.
Keep enjoying boss.
Smiles.. you see that fresh you dey talk about. Na disguise.
We just dey package ourselves....
Hmm that means you have PhD in packaging, cus you too much 😃😃 I need to bag that kind of degree aswell.
Happy Easter to you. I've not tried pepper soup but it looks so delicious. I'm definitely gonna try this on weekend. I hope your holidays went awsome and you had great time with your family.
Do you have it available in your country... I mean pepprsoup?
Happie Easter buddy, hope you enjoyed the food really cool, m sure the taste were also delicious 😋
yeah it was delicious. I really enjoyed the meal thank you!
The meal looks very interesting and tasty. I can imagine that you wanted another serving. Is it served all the time or only at Easter? What is the draw soup?
It is available all the time and not just for Easter... Hmm, check out for Ogbonno soup and Okro soup on google to know what I am talking about for the draw soup.
What have you done now? I am now longing for everything, especially the pepper soup. 🥹
It seems to me like egusi is your favourite soup. Your head must be filled with it by now.
Smiles... Egusi is not my favorite soon, it is just something that I see around very often. If there were more options, I would not choose egusi.
I just remembered how my brother would make Eba so strong and I can't even describe it😂.
Nothing better than hot pepper soup.
