Beyond Appearances: Unveiling the Warm Hearts of Tough Female Lecturers
Women are lovely creatures and are mostly seen to be timid, soft, and sometimes ridiculed, especially when it comes to the teaching field. That is why you would see most female teachers trying to act strictly like their fellow male teachers.

I have come across many female teachers like this in my secondary school and right now at my University. They try to make themselves feared by the students so that they will be given as much respect as the students would give their fellow male teachers.
And sometimes, they may get to do it so much that most students may not like them, but the truth is that these female lecturers are not really wicked or that strict. They may be acting this way due to some past experience of disrespect from a student because they may think she is a woman, and she would suddenly be understanding even if they do trash.
It was recently that I got to understand this concept, and this is from the personal experience of a female lecturer in my department.
My first experience meeting this lecturer did not really make me like her at all. She was all boning face, trying to be strict and straight at us. And in my thoughts, I was like, Life is not Hard Like this. I cannot remember what she was saying peculiarly or what she was addressing to us, but it gave us the vibe that she may be a very strict lecturer.
I didn't want it to be that I would not like her because of my first experience, and I also didn't want it to affect me when it came time to offer the course she offered. So I kept my mind positive about her.
Now she takes two courses with us, the main one being the project. My coursemate, like literally all of us, did something quite annoying to her, and her response made me feel like this woman is a nice woman indeed, because if it was someone else, or even some Male lecturers that I know of, they may not reason with us in any way.
On the day of our defence, we were instructed to make corrections to our report and submit it on Friday, but none of us did. The next week, on Monday morning, she sent a message to the group requesting why we had not submitted our report since Friday, but nobody answered her. I saw the message myself, but I didn't know how to answer her because the report was not ready as the person in charge of the report went MIA (Missing in Action) with the report.
After almost 24 hours, she replied to the group, saying she was too small to receive a reply from anyone, and they immediately left the group. Each one of us saw that she left the group, and we were all discussing what we should do next. The next thing we thought in our minds was that our HOC would try to reach out to her, but guess what?
Damn it! Even after her complaint after leaving the group, nobody went to her DM to give a reason for not submitting. I thought about doing it, but I thought maybe the HOC would do that, but he didn't, and I am sure that it would be the same for almost everyone.
How did we get to know that she was MAD at us?
She reported us to the president of the department and to another departmental lecturer about what we did, and they reached out to us on the issue. Then we knew that we f*cked up.
Even though she was angry at us, we were all facing an issue when trying to get into the exam hall to write our exam yesterday. The school portal happened to have issues, and it was examination morning, and many of us were just downloading our exam passes, so it was difficult for us to get them signed.
She had to leave her office to come all the way to fight for us and tell them to let us in to write our exams. She did all these things even after we offended her and had not met her to apologise. Seeing her do this made me realise what a nice woman she is.
We met up today to apologise to her and were able to get something for her to show our sincerity. I am glad she accepted, and I hope we don't get to offend her again.
Women are nice; I can mention some male lecturers who would be annoyed if we did this exact thing to them. They may not move a table for us.

You are right, this mother nature is always there no matter how strict they pretend to be. All their hard faces is just to make students scared of them but that's not who they really are.
I am glad you came through for you guys and hope you nailed today's paper?
Wishing you success.
Yeah the paper went really well... It felt like all my papers should go like the way it went. Hoping for the best results this semester
Success is yours bro, just keep believing and put your best. God will definitely crown your efforts.
Wow coming all the way from her office to make sure you guys were able to write your exams after you have offended her without an apology shows a mother's heart for her children who will sometimes correct with the rod but draws the child close again and that's the true nature of motherhood
