This news came from nowhere. For all the other countries there were some negotiations and event was run as a candidate event (except Saudi Arabia) but Paraguay has a deal with WRC promoter ad hoc.

That's good for their country because World Rally Championship is a great promotion because apprx 1billion people see each event in a longer term when coverage is out so investment is really great for the outcome.

Paraguay has two drivers who are active in WRC these days - Fabrizio Zaldivar and Diego Dominguez.

I guess that surface will ve gravel because most of their national events have been held on gravel.
