My First Splinterlands Ranking Rewards
Ah I have to say earning rewards just for leveling up rank in the game brings back some good memories and the fact that they are chests makes it that much more exciting. I believe this small but powerful change is a great way to get players playing again instead of glint. While glint is nice sure it doesn't have that big wow mystery factor like getting reward chests does so I'm very happy to see the return of this.
For those complaining about reward cards not being of "value" and a return to web2 I think you are very wrong. These cards help you build a better deck which means you do better in ranking thus more glint, more rewards and more SPS earned in battles.
I personally was never a big fan of the SPS in random chests because it was just luck chance and didn't matter how much you spent or invested into the game. If you got lucky you made out really well. I've seen people opening up 20,000 SPS out of chests like WTF! Just bonkers. I think the luckiest I got was 500 maybe and I've put a ton of money and time into this game so I'm actually happy to see it more refined now.
Anyways this article is kind of short because I wanted to show off my first rank level up rewards from Silver 3 to Gold 1. I do believe I'll be able to hit Diamond 1 by end of season so that's another 3 more of these I should have by end.
First the chests... Damn that looks nice and brings back memories.
and now for the opening!
Actually pretty nice. 12 total cards of which 5 are rare cards and some merits and 5 alchemy potion charges which are always nice for that little boosted chance for a gold foil card.
