Legendary Rock Songs: PELIGROSA MARIA: LOS SUAVES.
Theme:PELIGROSA MARIA.
Disc:Esta Vida Me Va Ha Matar.
Year:1982
A very young Suaves talking about nights out, women, sex and alcohol, when their sound was still directly chained to the punk filth and basic and primitive rock that had won them the trust of opening for the Ramones in A Coruña a year before.
But they were still Suaves after all, with the heavy and unmistakable voice of Yosi and a text of pure fun, even because of the delicate and biting nature of the subject matter. They made their debut in this way and they are still rocking without this life having been able to get the better of them, as they said in the title of their first album.
They are still there, up on stage singing “Peligrosa Maria” for everyone to sing along with them, all those who grew up with their songs and know them inside out from listening to them with their brothers and sisters and in the bars.
Classics of our movida, Los Suaves have been everything for the hard/urban rock of this country that with songs like this one has been winning the hearts of many young people who learned the lessons of life to the rhythm of rock and street philosophy with the best possible teachers. Sex, drugs and rock n' roll in its purest form.
My beautiful people, I hope you like this editorial about this Spanish band, one of the most legendary of rock in Spanish and this song that is undoubtedly one of their best songs. A thousand blessings.
