My story: A picture is worth a thousand words. #pic1000

What I see:
I see a grandma feeling happy for the potentials of her grandson.

Why I feel:
I feel she knew already what her grandson would turn up to become.

Grandma smiled as she sat in her favorite swinging chair at the balcony, basking in the evening sunlight. She watched as her 9 year old grandson John kept struggling with the nuts of the lawn mower trying to fix it. The lawn mower had developed a little fault over the weekend and John took it upon himself to repair it.

Grandma: John do you need some help with the mower?

John: No grandma, I am okay the bolts are too hard to nut but I am going to fix it; he boasted.

Looking at young John working with tools at the garden in front of the house made her remember her son George John’s father. George also loved working with machine right from a young age. He later went on to study mechanical engineering at the University of Sundown.

Watching her 9 year old grandson developing interests in machines just like his father spoke a lot about her grandson. Then she knew John would follow in his fathers line of profession.

Grandma: John what would you want to become in future? She asked

John still busy with the mower turned to answer

John: Grandma I want to become an Astronaut when I grow up; he said happily

The picture of her grandson working in the fields spoke a lot to her. She stood up gently towards him trying to lend an helping hand and caressed him on the head before saying “John you can be whatsoever you want to, you need to be determined and devoted plus put in hard work and you will live your dreams”.

John smiled and hugged her, they were both happy as they worked together on the lawn mower.
