The boys would have naturally left the house without having to leave through the back door only if it’s laundry day. Davi and Kent went to grandma.’s place to spend the holiday. Grandma stays on the outskirts of the town in a four bedroom apartment she has been staying with her husband for forty years now. She never wanted to leave because of the peace she enjoys. It’s a ritual in the family for Saturday’s to be laundry , something the boys had learnt from their mother. Their mother would explain how grandma would wake her up early in the morning to do the laundry describing how a good woman should keep her home clean but the boys ain’t having any of that because it’s different in the city where they from.

Little did they know grandma had plans for them when she locked the back insisting no one is leaving the house until the laundries is done. The boys followed grandma just as she instructed them, placing a bucket each to them of their own clothes and detergent to wash. Loads of thoughts ran through their as they pick each clothe one after the other to wash, how they gonna catch the train on time for the midtown derby game that afternoon? Of course grandma wouldn’t let them out of her sight for a second even as she was busy knitting her clothes she kept her gaze on them everytime . Kent asked his grandma why the maid in the house can’t help them with the laundry she answered them politely and said so you will be responsible for your actions and take up action for your self without having to wait for anybody to help. The boys were amazed at her response because they weren’t expecting that kind of response, how did she switch from the context from clothes into being responsible then they suspected she had planned it already to look this way.
