Lessons learnt from Bloodhounds series

Life's is cruel sometimes!

How could someone you took in, trained and brought to a whole different level of life come back to pay you back only to give you a painless death?

Bloodhounds is a great movie featuring loan sharks and boxers.

Drama: Bloodhounds

Directed by: Kim Joo-hwan

Genre: Crime; Action;

Network: Netflix

Original language: Korean

Episodes: 8

Gun-woo won the boxing title but then , rather than making an enemy with his opponent, they took a whole different turn and became good friends who cared and wished the best for each other.

Gun-woo's mum got deceived by loan sharks and signed off a contract she wasn't detailed on and they came back for their money.

This was when it got all mixed up and Gun-woo was faced with a whole new responsibility of looking for a solution out of the debt for his mum making him to sacrifice his ambition of furthering his boxing career.

They kept searching for job and ended up with Choi Tae Ho, a humanitarian loan shark who cherished them a lot.
Watch to find out the rest, hehe.

Lessons Learnt

  • Loyalty can't be bought

This was the very first thing I picked up from this movie.

Loyalty comes with a price but then, the price isn't money.
Loyalty bought with money will easily waver and fade away when the money gets blown away.
Kim Myeong Gil had a lot of persons around him when there was money but then, there was only his right hand man left when there was no money left to spend.

Choi Tae ho on the contrary had men who were willing to lay down their lives for him just only if he requests for it.... This wasn't achieved by flaunting wealth but then, by doing good; constantly looking out for someone you call a friend.

  • Resilience and persistence:

What matters in life isn't just making a decision, nah, that's not it but then having the zeal, the resilience and persistence to go after the goal you aim to achieve is the big deal.
With these features, everything you set your minds to achieving will definitely come through.

Just the way Gun-woo and Woo -Jin were determined to get down to the root of the problem despite the fact that his predecessors didn't succeed, he did succeed because he was determined.

  • Humility:

The impact of humility in our daily life to life activities could never be overemphasized.
Humility they say is the mother of all other virtues as it draws you close to everything else good.
Humility could be picked from almost all episodes of this movie.

  • Genuine friends:

Friends are not just people who turn up when you're in your blissful moments but then people who will always be there for you in times of fun and sorrow.
Just like Gun-woo and Woo jin were.

  • Speaking Out

Sometimes we have a lot of things to say but then, we keep them to ourselves without spitting it out but most times it doesn't help matters at all.

It'll rather be better we always say our mind because we will never know the outcome unless we try and trying entails us speaking out.

Woo- jin wasn't hired but then, he opened up and said he wished to be hired and it worked out for him... if he didn't speak out, he would have never gotten the chance.

Bloodhounds is a very short series yet with lots of lessons to be learnt.
Even though it doesn't have the greatest of plot as it was to an extent very predictable but it's still a nice watch.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day

Netflix recommended this film a couple of times to me, I'll go and add it to list.

Most people don't understand that loyalty that comes from being a genuine and good person is better that the one bought with money.

Normally, it's how the song goes, when money dey friends go dey, when money no dey friends go go

It seems quite a powerful series with many lessons to be taken from it.
Although short in length I might just go and check it out!
