Greetings dear Gaming community, today I bring to you a very special post, I have watched the Tekken Bloodline animated series and I have to tell you that it did not disappoint me, because this time Netflix properly investigated everything necessary to bring a wonderful tribute to this video game franchise.
Saludos querida comunidad Gamer, hoy le traigo un post bastante especial, he visto la serie Tekken Bloodline de Netflix y tengo que decirles que no me ha defraudado, ya que esta vez la famosa compañía de streaming investigo apropiadamente todo lo necesario, para traernos un homenaje digo de esta franquicia de videojuegos.

As a fan of Tekken and someone who grew up playing several of these games on arcade machines and PlayStation consoles, it fills me with joy to see that this animation adapted so faithfully and respectfully the plot of Tekken 3, in fact it is as if this show had been made by a team of true fans of the franchise.
The personality of its protagonists, the movements, the fights, the references, everything is recreated with so much care that at first I found it hard to believe that Netflix was involved in the production of this project, because generally their video games adaptations have been somewhat underwhelming to me.

Como fan de Tekken y alguien que creció jugando a varios de estos juegos tanto en las maquinas arcade como en las consolas PS1 y PS2, me llena de alegría al ver que esta animación adapto de manera tan fiel y respetuosa la trama de Tekken 3, de hecho es como si la serie hubiese sido realizada por un grupo de verdaderos fans de la franquicia.
La personalidad de sus protagonistas, los movimientos, las peleas, los guiños, todo está recreado con tanto cariño que en un principio me costó creer que Netflix estuviese involucrada en la producción de este proyecto, porque para mí generalmente sus adaptaciones de juegos han sido algo decepcionantes.

It is worth mentioning that the visual aesthetic of this animated series has a very own and different style, in fact it uses 3D animation techniques and this can be easily noticed in the characters design and the lighting department, as they have less detail than in any anime series from today, although I personally did not seem this as something bad because this show also has very cool dynamic camera sequences, plus all the fight scenes are very well done to look spectacular, in fact I found it wonderful that the characters perform iconic moves from the games during the battles.
Cabe decir que el aspecto visual de esta serie animada tiene un estilo muy propio y diferente, de hecho utiliza técnicas de animación 3D y esto se puede apreciar en el diseño de los personajes y el apartado de iluminación, ya que cuentan con mucho menos detalles que en cualquier serie de anime de la actualidad, aunque personalmente esto no me pareció algo malo porque también cuenta con secuencias de cámaras en movimiento muy geniales, además todas las escenas de peleas están muy bien logradas y lucen espectaculares, de hecho me pareció maravilloso que los personajes realizan movimientos icónicos de los juegos durante los combates.

Another detail that I really liked is that Netflix did not make ethnic or racial changes in the characters, so the appearance of each one of them is faithfully recreated from their counterparts in the games, although it is clear that most of them are obviously inspired on their designs from Tekken 7, so I guess the show creators did this to make the characters easier to recognize for most recent players of the game series.
Otro detalle que me agrado mucho es que Netflix no hizo cambios étnicos o raciales en los personajes, más bien la apariencia de cada uno de ellos esta recreada fielmente respecto a sus contrapartes de los juegos, aunque está claro que la mayora están inspirados en los diseños de Tekken 7, supongo que hicieron esto para que fuesen más fáciles de reconocer para los jugadores más recientes de la saga.

Now as in any other video game adaptation, it has some creative liberties regarding the original material, but fortunately these changes were made to modernize the story in a more interesting way, building moments of interaction and bonds between the characters to humanize them, so we can empathize more easily with them, although I have to confess that I would have liked to see more of these interactions, because I found them to be one of the most entertaining and engaging aspects of the show.
As for the things that I found not so great, I think the series is very short, in fact it only has six episodes of around 25 minutes length, because of this not all characters have the same development and screen time, even the presence of some of them is limited to simple cameos in which they don't even have dialogues, so I would really like if the creators of the show come to produce new seasons, to improve these aspects.
Obviamente como en cualquier otra adaptación, se tomaron algunas libertades creativas con respecto al material original, pero afortunadamente estos cambios fueron para modernizar la historia de una manera más interesante, construyendo momentos de interacción y lasos entre los personajes para humanizarlos de modo que podamos empatizar más fácilmente con ellos, aunque tengo que confesarles que me hubiese gustado ver más de estas interacciones, porque me pareció uno de los aspectos más entretenidos y atrayentes de la serie.
En cuanto a los aspectos que no me parecieron tan buenos, pienso que la serie es muy corta, ya que apenas cuenta con seis episodios de alrededor de 25 minutos, debido a esto no todos los personajes cuentan con el mismo desarrollo y tiempo en pantalla, de hecho la aparición de varios de ellos se limita a simples cameos en los que ni siquiera tienen diálogos, así que de verdad me gustaría que si llegan a producir nuevas temporadas, sus creadores puedan mejorar todos estos elementos.

In conclusión fellow Gamers, Tekken Bloodline was the best surprise I never expected from Netflix, if you are a fan of Tekken or if you ever played some of these games out of mere curiosity, I really recommend you to watch this animation because it is totally worth it.
En definitiva compañeros Gamers, Tekken Bloodline fue la mejor sorpresa que nunca espere de Netflix, si eres fan de Tekken o alguna vez por mera curiosidad jugaste algunos de sus juegos, de verdad te recomiendo que veas esta animación porque vale totalmente la pena.

I would call it faithful if Paul had actually defeated Jin and Ogre's first form in the tournament like it was implied in Tekken 4 lol
Jokes aside, it was...alright; cool action, the character designs were good and Paul was finally not an idiot for the first time ever since Tekken 4 (as Tekken 5 and onwards had made him more of a goofball, with T7 having him without redemption), but the pace could be felt that was both rushed (6 episodes only and the abrupt ending, which DOES match with the game but...doesn't fit with the series) and padded (The flashbacks to Jun and Jin during the few last episodes in midst of fights). It would be cool to see a new season that does fix these issues while covering Kazuya's revival in Tekken 4, which is an event that would be important to the story considering how Kazuya's been around and alive ever since that game...and yet this series ends without explaining how he's back after being stated dead here.
Yes it lacked that fight between Paul and Ogre, but considering what Netflix has done with other adaptations this one was really good.
A new season inspired on Tekken 4 would be great, especially if they fill the plot holes from the games to give the story more coherence.
Debo decir que no me gusta el CGI en los animes, pero siendo honestos se ve bien, yo hace mucho me vi una película de tekken que salio hace uf y estaba buenísima, creo que se llamaba venganza sangrienta algo así
Yo también vi la película Tekken Blood Vengeance hace varios años y me pareció regular xD, creo que con esta nueva serie lograron capturar mucho mejor la esencia de los juegos, además de mejorar algunas cosas de la trama de Tekken 3.
