Despite physical appearances, it's often the history that makes building interesting. These old communist buildings were designed as utilitarian and function over form reigned but they still have a quiet beauty for me at least as I love geometric shapes and symmetry.

A really great write-up I enjoyed reading. Have a lovely weekend :-)

You are absolutely right. It is history that makes a building even beautiful or not (from a subjective point of view). And most of all, the history makes it interesting or not. And in these buildings, this built city, I guess a lot of tears were shed, a lot of people lost hope and a lot of lives were ruined and wasted. So yes, these buildings are extremely curious and interesting (at least for me 😊).
Thank you for your time and attention!
Have a beautiful weekend too!

And my interest is looking for answers. Answers, beyond the explanations and answers given officially.

Hello @soulsdetour. I align with your thoughts here. Architecture is a 360-degree human experience, and perhaps even more, depending on the context. And because of its subjective nature, personal impressions, reactions, and opinions vary. Yet, I find it truly interesting that some people have the amazing capacity of reading between the lines (like digesting a book or piece of literature) when interpreting buildings. You are blessed with that gift. And I do hope you'll find the satisfying closures to your questions during your various architectural journeys. Superb post!

Thank you again, dear @storiesoferne for your kind words! Every time I wonder how my free thoughts (coming from the essence of my soul) will be perceived in this community. And whether I overdo the intertwining of history, my personal stories, experience and reflections with architecture. Thank you for always being so tolerant and for reading my posts too between the lines!😊

Hello @capitanvenezuela. We'd appreciate it if you would provide the English language translations to your comment. This would allow everyone on the Hive blockchain to understand the messages plus engage with the conversations. Thank you for your consideration.

Greetings @soulsdetour, I like the red paint, it makes the structure very neat. Speaking of unhappy life, I can only imagine how hard it is during the lifetime of your grandparents.

I would say that this structure looks like a hospital from outside πŸ˜„ and only the red color on it makes it a little more interesting.

I was muted in the Architecture and Design Community this past week and no reason was given. It was my first and will be my last post there. I unjoined the community.

Yeah, I can imagine how do you feel. I actually know why I have been muted - after revealing a bunch of wrong things related to abuse of the platform. But my content didn't break any rules to be muted. Nor have I made any damning public comments about the revelations. Of course, one often encounters injustices here and it is quite disappointing.

Btw, it seems that you are not muted in the community in general. I see your comments, unlike mine. It was just your post that was muted then. πŸ˜ƒ

It's one man show there, not "they".
But yeah, that's the best decision. πŸ‘
