Happy Anniversary to hive, this is what hive means to me @sonofremi

Hey there my fellow hivians, Happy Anniversary. Yesterday being 20th of March marked the Anniversary of hive therefore I'm dedicating this post to hive, this is what hive means to me.

Before discovering hive I had been on the journey to be financially free completely from my parents therefore I was trying my hands in different source of income as a means to achieve this financially freedom. I learnt alot about crytocurrency during this period of time, I saw crytocurrency as a great investment opportunity.

In June of 2020, I was unfortunately scammed. Being new in the cryptocurrency market made me to make a mistake while using my binance to mistakely release funds when the buyer hadn't sent the money, binance runs on a KYI system therefore once you have released the token, it is unrefundable. This made me to enter a stage of depression, I became very uninterested in things that usually had my interest and I felt that I wasn't smart enough to understand cryptocurrency. Due to the lack of funds to survive and take care of daily expenses, I was tempted to apply for a loan. Now I was depressed and also in debt those are to bad combinations.

Oneday a friend of mine visited me talking about blockchain writing platform called Hive, he told me that they pay in the hive token and the opportunities that were in hive. At this point in time, I had been owing the bank for a couple of months and they were threatening to bring the police to my doorstep if I didn't pay back what I owed. I saw hive as an opportunity to solve my problems, so everyday for a period of three months I would open my hive account and write. I did this continuously and brought many of my friends on board, we created a group chat to tell people about hive and constantly everyday we woke up we would draft ideas on what content to post on hive. Before long I had made back the money I owed in hive and I was able to successfully pay back the bank the full amount I owed then. Hive to me was a miracle, I couldn't believe that by just writing and interacting with people I was able to solve my pressing problems.

Currently now I'm working on starting a community on hive in my campus to educate youths that making money online has been made easy with hive, I want to share my testimony with as many people that will be willling to listen. Right now, I'm at a reputation of 56 and have made over 124 HP(Total made from hive not currently in wallet) from just posting on a daily basis. Hive saved me from depression, I don't know where I would have been without finding hive at that moment of my life. I will be forever grateful.
