masquerades festival in Igbo land is seen as a superior beings. When masquerade appear in public they are treated with respect. Masquerade is only perform by the male secret societies.it involves the use of colourful costumes.

Masquerade involves one person team or a team up of instrument players,dancers, masquerade adviser and and the masquerade itself.masquerade appears during traditional celebrations and new yam festival.masquerades are always beautiful with bright colour captivating,loud noise, the wild energy leave no one bored. Masquerade are held in accordance with the community native calendars during festivals, burial rites and some social gatherings masquerade are connected with spiritual elements as According to Igbo belief they represent images of deities or sometime even dead relatives.
The whole village will come out for the ceremony of the colourful masquerade while entertaining through dancing and exhibition of extra human feast, the masquerade keep up with the traditional norms and values of the community. Masquerade can be used in ushering new months and seasons. Families own masquerade
*Types of masquerade in Igbo land
- Mmanu in Igbo it means spirit of the death. It is meant to embody both spirit and human world
*Adamma: is a maiden spirit mask worn by men particular in eastern part of nigeria. It represent the beauty of the Igbo woman
IGA: the spirit appears in the day time and make sure everything is okay. Igbo masquerade is pass from generation to generation.

Its a terrorist act on American soil while say its not real or Im a mental case. Many know its real. This is an ignored detrimental to humanity domestic threat.
