What A Year
Hi everyone, how was your day I hope it went well and everything is going fine.
Some people say 2023 was a good year, some say it was a very tough year while some say it was a bad year for them but in this same year, I have learned so many lessons and they are good ones and bad ones and I will be sharing them with you.
The very first lesson I've learned is in the aspect of saving.
I can vividly recall that at the beginning of this year, precisely February, our country was faced with a problem which was known as the 'cashless policy' because of the proposed changing of old naira notes into new ones, and because of this, I started saving the little money I had at home because the banks were unable to release the money to their customers at that period so other people suffered from it but I did not.
The second lesson that I've learned is consistency.
At the beginning of this year, I made up my mind to be posting every day on Hive, and successfully, it paid off. Hive gave me the opportunity to write and earn and the proceeds from Hive, helped me scale through school. As rough as this year was, I was consistently feeding from my hive proceeds because I was posting every day. I did it bothered my parents financially because I was consistent on the hive.
The third lesson I've learned this year is that everything that happens in the world is controlled by God.
My mother was I'll and we tried everything within our power to keep her but to no avail, we prayed and helped financially and all around, but nothing happened and on September 23, she kicked the bucket, and the word that Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 9:11 is true; "I have seen something else under the sun:
The race is not to the swift
or the battle to the strong,
nor does food come to the wise
or wealth to the brilliant
or favor to the learned;
but time and chance happen to them all".

The last lesson I've learned this year is that hard work pays off.
I drew this lesson from my stay in school, where without learning and reading, you can't pass. All courses require dedication and hard work to get the grades you ought to have to pass.
I've witnessed a scene of a final-year student, being rusticated from school because of examination malpractice and it is a lack of hard work that caused it, so I've learned that hard work and commitment pays off.
2023 has been a great year for me because I've learned and unlearned, and I've cried and laughed, I wouldn't say it was a bad year
Great post but it looks there’s a repetition.
Please do well to check.
The race is not for the swift indeed, reminds me of the story of the hare and the tortoise, we thank God for life and the lessons learnt and we pray he continue to guide our path in the days to come.
Try justifying your work though, it would do you a lot of good
It sounds like 2023 was a year full of lessons, both good and bad. From the importance of saving during tough times to the power of consistency, the influence of faith, and the significance of hard work, your experiences shaped valuable insights. Wishing you strength and growth in applying these lessons to the journey ahead
