I am very happy to participate in this week's engagement here because I have been waiting for it.

Music to be is life, and I cannot do without it for a day. I love singing and making music, as this makes me feel more fulfilled every day.

There are a lot of genres of music, and I do not dispute the fact that they are all interesting and impactful, but, I tend to toe my music interest to the soul genre.**

Soul music is a kind of pop music
that has the elements of rhythm and blues and gospel, performed especially by black American musicians. It has its emphasis on vocals and an impassioned improvisatory delivery,
singers such as Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, and Otis Redding were known for soul music.
Soul music is characterized by:
gospel influence - intense vocals, call and response.
an emphasis on the rhythm section.
large horn sections that are trumpets, saxophones, and trombones.

The name "soul music" itself, referring to gospel-style music with secular lyrics, was first known in 1961. The term "soul" in African-American parlance has connotations of African-American pride and culture. Gospel groups in the 1940s and the '50s always used the term as part of their group names.

I love soul music because it has what it takes to calm the mind. Adding quality lyrics to it, the soul possesses a full sting.

Writing for the past 18 years would have not been possible, if I never listened to soul music from the likes of Sam Smith, Tweet, and Jorja Smith.

Soul music has in it, the power to bring any kind of mood. I love African-American soul music because of its good and quality instrumentation.

Soul music is also capable of inspiring you to write a song. Its lyrical strength gotten from inspiration, is another powerful tool that makes soul music unique.

I love the African-American soul.

This is such a wonderful analysis of soul music, although I'm hardly a fan of such type of songs, but via your explanations now I feel like listening to them.
