THE UNCONTENTED STONE CUTTER: A FREEWRITE

There was once a stone cutter who was not satisfied with himself and with his status in life.

On a fateful day, he passed a affluent trader's house. Through the open gateway, e come see plenty fine cars and other things wey the rich man get. He became very jealous and purposed he could be like the rich man. But to his surprise, e come turn to rich man. He enjoy luxury life and power than he can ever imagine.

Soon, he saw a high profile person accompanied and escorted by soldiers because both the rich and poor had to bow low to show respect to the high profile personality, then he wished he wants to be a high profile person.

Suddenly, he became it, he was feared and hated by the people of the community because of his harsh ruling. He didn't stop there!

It was summer 🌞 day, so he felt uneasiness because of the scorching sun. He then said, 'he wish that he could be the sun'.

Then he became the sun, shining down on everyone, burning the fields, cursed by the farmers and labourers. Then suddenly a great wind blew, uprooting trees and blowing roofs of houses.

But after a while, he(the wind) ran up against something that would not move, no matter how powerful he blew against it, a huge rock. He said, 'how powerful that's rock is!' he thought, 'i wish that I could be a rock!. Then he became the rock, more powerful than anything else on earth 🌎. But as he stood there, he heard the sound of a hammer ⚒️ pounding into the hard rock and felt himself being changed. He said, 'what could be more powerful than me, the rock? he thought. He looked down and saw far below him the figure of a stone cutter.

After all this, he realized that, it is wise to be contented with one's position in life. Keeping pushing until change comes.
