Solo’s weekly picks: Gardens

avatar

Around where I live the sun is bright and plants are flourishing. All around me the same is happening, and many are writing great blogs about their growing season. This week I looked for some posts about peoples gardens and wanted to share them with the Hive community.

Here are five posts by Hive minnows and plankton talking about gardens:

📷 🌱 ABOUT GARDENING, LOHINA, CARE OF BUSHES AND THE FIRST HARVEST BERRIES - ПРО САДІВНИЦТВО, ЛОХИНА, ДОГЛЯД ЗА КУЩАМИ ТА ПЕРШІ ДОСТИГЛІ ЯГОДИ 🫐 by @tiptop97

Growing blueberry bushes for over a decade can yield great results. This Hive poster talks about their experience starting off with them and shares some pictures of their recent yield.

Beet planting 🌱 by @alina97

Starting some new seeds they show off how they decided what to grow based on the seasons. Preparing the dirt is key too as they did and with some seedlings moved into the ground they should do good.

Eating Fruit in My Garden 庭の果物を食べる [English and Japanese] by @koto-art

With the weather improving, lots of fruit is being produced on these plants. They get to try some raspberries, and soon some other things like peas, beans, corn and blueberries.

Garden Update: Baby Sprouts, Seedlings and Veggies <3 by @tegoshei

https://peakd.com/hive-150280/@tegoshei/garden-update-baby-sprouts-seedlings-and-veggies-3

Starting some tomato seeds they talk about how they got them from their mom and had great success with them over there. The seeds have sprouted so best of luck with them. Though some strong winds damaged some other fruting plants they had unfortunately. So I hope the tomatoes do better.

Bees, Bunnies, and Butterflies - by Sunscape by @sunscape

https://peakd.com/hive-127788/@sunscape/bees-bunnies-and-butterflies-by-sunscape

Lots going on in the flower garden, butterflies of many kinds are visiting them. Though some cabbage moths have also shown up. I remember dealing with them in Georgia, they are quite annoying. Along with lots of pollinators they had some baby bunnies this year near by and lots of birds visiting the baths.

Thats my five picks for this week, come back next week to see
Solo's next weekly picks. I curate posts every Tuesday and do this through MSP. Thanks so much to the Minnow Support Group for giving me the opportunity to serve as a curator!
