We have 6 hive bees in our village and it's time to get honey. When we opened my hives to get honey, we were in for a very nice surprise.
Our bees worked very well compared to last year and produced a considerable amount of honey.

Bees start to make honey with the extracts they collect from the flowers, with the first flowers blooming in the spring. May-June is the "swarming" period for bees.
Bee swarm: As a result of the bees multiplying in the hive, there are two queen bees in the hive. And one of these queen bees takes some of the bees out of the hive and looks for a new nest. We call the bee colony that emerges from this hive a bee swarm.

After the swarm season, the bees work more efficiently and make honey. The honey harvest of bees varies according to the season and weather conditions. For example, last year our bees made so little honey that we could not get any honey from our hives. Luckily, they made enough honey this year and we got honey.

There are usually 10 honey slats inside the hives. If the bees have filled all these slats with honey, we take 5 slats and leave the other 5 slats in the hive for our bees. Generally, these 5 bars of honey are enough for the bees, but if we realize that these honeys are not enough for our bees during the checks we make from time to time, we contribute to the nutrition of our bees with bee cake and sherbet.
