Prepping is a marathon, not a sprint; buy reasonable amounts on a schedule!
There is a lot of energy going into preparing for a collapse right now. It is good that more people are beginning to see the approaching problems, as more people will survive that way.
BUT energy is no substitute for proper planning, and will only carry you so far. You should have a schedule, and a list of gaps to fill. You should always be buying additional food stocks, to lessen the risk of running out. Some of it, once you have a basic survival pantry; should include long term, as well as comfort food.
Here is a monthly (remember the schedule part of this) long term food buy:
Notice the spices and pancakes to add variety to the menu after the SHTF occurs. The onions are here because I found a good price, and I like to cook with them.
I had to open the bottom of the box due to shipping damage:
Nothing was hurt, but I needed to check, before I added these cans to my long term supplies. I have had to return one shipment because of damage, so open every box before storing it. This box cost me about sixty dollars, and I make sure the order is different every month.
It is not necessary to go into debt to prepare, only to spend what you can each month; to fill critical gaps in your survival supplies.
I am not specifically recommending them, but one way to do this is to schedule monthly purchases from Amazon right after payday. You need to come up with a plan that works for your situation. I also buy 5 cases of canned goods every month, when I buy groceries.
Most prepping is just common sense, with an emphasis on thinking ahead!
And who does not have a pantry, then what to do? :-)
I filled as closet first. The important thing, is to do what you can, without breaking the family budget! I have one Lady that can only buy $20 a month, for prepping storage; but she has been doing that for over 3 years, and has a good amount set back.
One young Mother has been storing food under her house in the dry crawlspace, because she has five kids, and no up top storage available.
Another Lady that lives in a tiny house, keeps prepping food under her bed, which she raised for comfort; that allowed more storage space.
The less storage you have, the more creative you must be. The less funding you have, the more carefully though out purchases need to become.
I hope that helps. If not, let me know; and I'll try to suggest some more options.

Many thanks!
No one is stocking up on food in Cyprus.
There is no problem here.
Right now, there is none here either, That is the time to stock food in. Bought a small amount at a time, no one will know as bout the food storage!
With the policies and spending today, problems are certain. A crash here will affect the entire World, and we have an idiot in charge these days!
