Tokens. Stake em, or Sell em?

Good morning sloths, it's another day and another chance to earn a dolla! Gotta get them dolla dolla bills y'all! Or something like that

image.png

You've got to love Canva AI 'magic' image to text, all you need is a sloth with his dolla dolla bills. An image does add a little colour to a post, both short and long. Who all clicked just to see what the sloth was going on with all that money?!?!

Now, let's get to the point of this post. Tokens, you staking 'em or selling 'em?

I joined Hive properly about a year and a half ago, and for the most part, I've been stacking all the tokens I could, adding to my curation power and opening myself to ongoing revenue streams in the future. There'll come a time when I'll start selling the tokens I 'don't need' however, I can't see that happening any time soon.

One of my weak points in crypto is probably my sloth-like moves to 'get rid' of tokens, I'm a hoarder, a hodler one could say. This leads to me sometimes being stuck with bags of tokens that are no longer of any use.

So what is your Hive and Further Crypto motto? Do you hodl? Sell? Or just sloth along singing a song with no idea what you're doing either way? What are your favourite tokens to earn? Why? Staking or selling?

It always interests me to see how tokens and users interact. Are they buying/staking or selling? Most people recommend a mix of all strategies, you have to be fluid, move with the times and make the most of your opportunities. I as you may have guessed prefer taking it slow, and looking for long-term prospects. Who knows where all these tokens will be in a year, 5 years, 10 years?

Maybe the Sloth will truly find a buzz down the road, or maybe the buzz will outpace the sloth and make a run for it.

Until next time,
Sloth out!

Stake and gather and hope the interest gets to a point i have enough to sell the excess and use it for other projects, but it can be a mixed blessing when the prices go up and down

When would you consider yourself into the ‘excess’ period? Does it matter on the token/supply or just what you feel about it?

Always interesting to see how people approach crypto.

Example of excess period would be my pizza token target, Atm im working towards getting 100k at that point the intrest will be 1-2 hive a days worth of pizza. i can then use that to buy for example Bro token and build on that, or maybe work on 100k of pimp token

That sounds like a sound strategy for sure. What about LGN? Think that’s worth stacking or rather have the BRO?

Bro is the real prize because even if lgn goes up then bro will go up with it, plus my goal of 1000 bro tokens is needed :D

Good luck chasing those BRO! I should look to accumulate some more too!

I'm probably selling 50% and staking (hodling) 50%... Some tokens are even abandoned by their creators and I don't see a reason to keep them... Some other have a "FOMO hype" and will die soon, so I try to stick to those that have "moderate" yields as they usually stick for the long term... :)

Sounds like a good overall plan. Which tokens spring to mind when you think of those abandoned? I’m sure I’ve been hodling a few Hive-Engine tokens that’ll probably never see any development again.

Well, we never know if maybe some of the tokens will resurrect, but as I can see there are many forgotten tribe tokens, oneup, ctp, and even splintertalk is forgotten by the SL team... weed (they had tribe too), cine is still working, but as I can see Hivians avoid them and post in "ordinary community" movies content...

Of course, the tokens could one day resurrect, but maybe I should start selling some more of those instead of staking the majority, it would make more sense until (if) they do come back to life.

I didn't realise splintertalk was abandoned, not that I use that much. Oneup I knew was in some difficulty last year. CTP seems to come and go...or maybe it's something similar, I'm easily confused.

Cine is an interesting one...Bro team are working with/on it, seems it doesn't get the love it 'should'. Although their recent change and tax addition on posts not using their front end must've hit them hard.

Thanks for your opinions, I'll need to take a closer look at some of my holdings.
