Half mock-Tudor, it's about as convincing as a car that sports 'half-leather' seats. It is better than ALL cloth, but not full luxury. This was 'The Northgate Arms', though you wouldn't know it as the signs have all been removed.
Is this to stop some pisshead, out of his head late on a Saturday night from trying to enter, in dire need of a top-up to his twelve pints swishing around in his bladder?
The lack of lighting should do that unless a bunch of those 'Ghost Hunter' freaks inside with their electronic devices that twitch when a spirit arrives for a psychic conversation.
I would love to be a believer but as fuck all has happened during the last 400 explores, I am yet to be convinced.
...'supposedly closed since 2007, so why did we find documents with a 2008 date inside?'... - Source'The Northgate Arms' was a speculative exploration. A certain other popular Facebook lady explorer with massive tits had recently been in, and that's all we needed to know.
I'm not saying she's unfit but if those colossal melons managed to edge past a narrow gap tinged with razor wire then me.., the ever-burgeoning fat bastard also could.
@anidiotexplores quickly found the entrance point which entailed a short woodland jaunt followed by a small wall, and a drop at the other side.
Nothing difficult so far and looking at the door swinging by its hinges, this would be a synch.
The 'door' must have once been a back door to the pub judging by the smoking area up there.
Once inside we quickly made our way to the bar fully expecting a catering entourage to meet us offering Champagne as well as Pie and Peas, what a combination that would prove to be!
“Where is the fucking bar?”, I mentioned to @anidiotexplores in bewilderment.
If the bar was somewhere else I would be surprised as this was the largest room by far on the ground floor. It was like someone had ripped all the fittings out.
Bar-like evidence was still kicking around, however, but the food was nowhere to be seen. I would have settled for a stale sandwich, but guzzling brown paint was stretching things a little far.
This photograph of the ceiling that houses some type of alcove was strange. Nice windows but what is the point?
In one drenched corridor, we came across a mountain of paperwork. I'm quite partial to picking out some tasty bits to view but this profusion of pure glob was making me think twice about bending down.
Another pile of papers so large it had toppled over sat nearby. These didn’t look particularly interesting, but I pulled a few out.
They appear to be architects' drawings and designs from 2008. Were they planning a full refurbishment just before the 'Great Recession' hit? Bad timing but they were not to know.

Very usable, so long as you don't cast your eyes downward when entering; there's even some bog roll available, though not of the finest quality.
You are going to need all those steps of cleanliness after using that sink. Generally, I have found that most of these dispensers do work, though the smells emitting from them can be questionable.
We headed upstairs to what was the living quarters of the ex-landlord and were immediately assaulted by baby blue cocks. They do look like the handiwork of a girl who loves nothing more than 4’ inches in length.
That explains a lot, you probably don't want 9 inches up your arse, though I am strictly not speaking from experience. 'The Crib' was disappointingly lacking in 'live sex' when we opened the door.
Anal has never been my thing so I can't say I was 'crushed' to find fuck all happening inside.
There is a 'danger' sign and it's probably needed considering the deviant nature of at least one of the writers. I do wish people would use the toilets and not the walls as a spraying area for their laxative side effects.
The things that the chair has seen, since 'The Northgate Arms' closed up shop shouldn't not be contemplated.
Someone is preparing for a long productive smack session; there's little fear of reaching out and being unable to find one of your key components.
The wooden surface will work I suppose but a soiled mattress would be preferable. That bend will give someone a terrible back once the euphoria wears off.
What a lovely view of the surrounding northern working-class terrace houses. It places your life into perspective when waking up, before opening up and waiting for the local pissheads to arrive for their 'all-day session'.
Crossing the landing area, there was only more area to look which was the cellar. What could be lurking down beneath?
Yet another flooded basement beckoned, and a lot could be under that fetid water, but I was not going to find out.
In the past we have found masses of treasure down below, it's always worth a look.
Yet another escape route from 'The Northgate Arms', though in its current form is temporarily unavailable due to those unpleasant spiky gates.
Not a wonderful explore by any means, just another one in the bag.

Do all the toilets where you live have the flush handle on the right side? I have never seen them on the right. Over here they are now making them with a two part push button on top of the lid, one side for #1 and the other for #2

Classic old building that holds many stories
I think the ceiling opening/window was just to let natural light in and maybe save some electricity. There wasn't really much to see; they didn't even have a big bar. But I think the writings and drawings made it a little interesting.
They didn't have a bar at all during our visit, no chance for a drink... 😌
I just try to understand why impressive buildings are just abandoned and left in a dilapidated state? What a waste!
