Splinterlands Season 846 has finished and I got a GF Djinn Arsehole, with 6 attack, and 9 defense, that has 3 abilities.

The best one is farting on its enemies causing 1 damage, but only if 'Djinn Arsehole' didn't eat a curry the night before, and if so he causes a Backfire effect and does 1 diarrhea damage to me which corrodes armour as well as giving me a stink +1 modifier…

Oh fuck, it's one of those boasting posts you find in the Splinterlands Community that tells you absolutely nothing and can actually cause 'card rage', if that is a thing?

I do like to poke a little fun at the 'boaster crew' who mistake HIVE for Facebook, and a quick rummage through the community revealed less of this crap than I thought it might. The end of season is soon, so I expect there will be a lot more then.

Having a large stack of SPS can be a blessing, especially when it’s doubled in value over the last month. Like every other crypto asset I own (besides BTC), I make them work for me, and renting SPS has been very profitable until recently.

A yield of 9-11% I can handle, and the DEC, while not exactly pouring in was slightly offsetting the dire decreasing rental market we have been enduring over the last year.

If you are trying to rent out your Chaos Legion cards, and they are NOT maxed then you may as well forget it. Even maximum level cards in some instances do not yield even a 5 miserly DEC a day.

It's a pitiful state we are in, but still, there are ways to make those cards do something other than sit in your collection accumulating dust.

Before we go there, let me show you the current rate of renting SPS to players. 2.91%, and someone named ‘Penis’ is offering the best rates. I should say you should suck my dick, but it’s really the other way around if you are going to yield to these pitiful offers.

Let's think about what is going on here. The sharp decline in SPS rental APR occurred about a month ago, and we have seen it drop to sometimes to 1%. Today at almost 3% is a good day.

What happened a month ago? Land was released. All these players struggling in the Bronze and Silver leagues who may have a handful of PLOT went, ‘fuck it’, and staked their cards on land?

...'is this where all the players have gone? Farming Grain with their monsters which you can't currently sell easily?'...

It seems doubtful, but I guess there is a percentage of players who could have up to 6 lands or so, but that would only remove 30 cards from their inventory.

I don't play in the Modern league, in fact, I don't play at all besides Brawls but I have heard Modern is very tough to break and gain leagues. Wild on the other hand is for robots. With all these sets, can you expect a human to choose a deck of five in two minutes?

It makes perfect sense for Wild to be for machines, ie, BOTS. So what have I done to alleviate my SPS rentals?

I now have SIX accounts all armed with XBOT tokens and that means I need to delegate SPS to them for the bonus modifiers. That's where my SPS has been going. There is an outlay in the form of 75 SWAP.HIVE per XBOT Lite, but gone are the days of scrambling for XBOT tokens.

You can buy them directly now if you don’t want to arse around bidding on HIVE.ENGINE or Tribeldex (which are the same thing, but different dapps).

Given the increased value in SPS, I am seeing some nice income generated in my 6 XBOT accounts. I have 1 Diamond, 4 Gold, and 2 Silver accounts all running and giving me passive income.

it's quite laughable that an account with L4 summoners is holding well in the Gold League. Having an account with low-level cards doesn't mean you are restricted to the Bronze league.

But...., you need a LOT of cards. I was stupid enough to buy 4600 packs of Chaos Legion packs and still have over 800 left sealed. My problem is not having enough potions to crack them.

While this information is not useful to everyone, it's another case of acclimatizing to the new Splinterlands. In six months, and especially if SPS keeps rising people are going to figure out that even in the saturated Wild league it could well be worth starting BOT armies again.

Wait a minute, saturated Wild League? It's not as popular as you might think anymore.

I have my own mini army, all paid for, no renting, all owned, so that’s all good and fine according to the Splinterlands hierarchy.

Like anything Splinterlands, there is a cost involved if you want to reap the rewards. They don’t give out things for free.

New players? Forget it.., maybe this 'new experience' Splinterlands have promised us will change things. If it does, and mini-BOT armies are no longer a thing, then I will change my stance again.
