Splinterlands - Coeurl Lurker Battle with Water Splinter
Edition: RIFTWATCHERS
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: NEUTRAL
Level: 4 (Max)
Attack: MELEE
Mana Cost: 11 POINTS
Abilities: Taunt, Dodge, Phase, Thorns
Battle Rules (DIAMOND LEAGUE, MODERN FORMAT):
- Opportunity
- Amplify
- 40 Mana
Coeurl Lurker is the ultimate Taunt tank/off-tank from the latest expansion Riftwatchers
Coeurl Lurker is equipped with Dodge and Phase to reduce the chance of getting hit by both physical and magical attacks
- At the max level, it also gains Thorns which returns 2 damages to the melee attacker
- Battle rule Amplify, Thorns will now return 3 damages (1 extra)
- Battle rule Opportunity, it can now attack from the back lane targeting an opponent with the lowest health
The battle rules favor Coeurl Lurker and bring out its maximum potential
Position #1: Tank - Diemonshark
- This is the staple Water splinter tank from the Chaos Legion set
- Solid tank for 8 mana with a good balance of attack/speed and a healthy amount of armor and health
- Trample triggers after it defeats an opponent, and attacks again against the next target. Often times this leads to DOUBLE KILL (not in this battle though)
- Enrage increases its attack and speed after taking damage to health
- Retaliate allows it to deal damage back to the melee attacker after getting hit. combined with Enrage, Diemonshark is a tank to be feared
Position #2: Coeurl Lurker
- This is one of my favorite cards from the Riftwatchers expansion
- Taunt combined with Dodge and Phase make it a very difficult target to hit
- The purpose for this card is to draw damages away from the main tank, while getting healed by Angelic Mandarin
- With battle ruleset Opportunity, Coeurl Lurker gets to attack the lowest health opponent even without Reach skill
- With battle ruleset Amplify, Thorns will now return 3 damages to melee attackers
Position #3: Angelic Mandarin
- This is the perfect companion card to heal Coerul Lurker using Triage
- Silence is a bonus, as it reduces enemy's magic attack by 1 (however there is no effect in this battle as the only enemy caster is already at 1 magic attack)
Position #4: Venari Wavesmith
- This is one of the most powerful cards to get out the Bronze League as I remembered
- In certain situations, this card continues to be useful in higher leagues
- Best of all, you can get it from the Reward chests
- Protect gives all friendly units +2 armor
- Dispel clears all positive status effects on the target enemy
Position #5: Giant Squid
- Love the squids, Blind is a very effective skill, it increases the chance the enemies will miss their attacks. Which is critically important if you are using a Taunt tank to get focused on (you don't want every single attacks to land and get destroyed prematurely)
- Weaken reduces the health of all opponents by 1
Position #6: Doctor Blight
- This is the card that I always try use when possible
- Affliction makes the target unhealable
- Poison does 2 damages per round once applied
- With Camouflage, it sits hidden in the very back damaging and poisoning the opponent without getting targeted
- While accumulating health from the Scavenger ability, until the last doctor standing, this is the insurance policy to outlast the opponent in a more evenly matched battle
- Weaken reduces the health of all opponent by 1 (and with the Giant Squid, now opponents start with 2 health less)
Conclusion:
- Landslide victory!
- MVP is Coeurl Lurker with the heals from Angelic Mandarin
- Coeurl Lurker was able to stay up the entire battle, due to successful dodges
- Diemonshark did its job but wasn't able to do much until the very end, enemy Baakjira out healed Diemonshark's attacks

I couldn't help but check out your deck, respect your deck lol. I wonder when I will get to those level of summoner and cards very inspiring.
As for your opponent, it's a pity you, he's no match for your lineup.
No doubt Coeurl Lurker is the Tank everyone should own, I want mine at level 2 for the Phase ability.

No matter how good the deck is, I don't have all the cards and there's always people with more cards 😅
Competition does not get easier no matter how much you spend.
That is true though, I have been stuck at level 4 all year and only managed to push OBSIDIAN to level 5 at the expense of WIZZARD OF EAST

You have add great cards. It helps you to win games easily. I also buy some Gold cards. Hopefully those cards help me to boost my level.
