AFRI-TUNES WEEK #76/ YOUR MATA(AN ORIGINAL)/ BY SLEEMFIT✨

Hello everyone, welcome to Afri-tunes week #76 🎉. For this week, I decided to do something different from what I normally do here as I couldn't really wrap my head around what song to cover....I made an original 😊, just picked my guitar and played with some chords, the song came naturally although it's not so long (just a verse and chorus repeated all through)...it's easy to learn, feel free to join me 😉. For this week I'd be performing a song by myself called "Your Mata". I used pidgin English throughout and a tiny little bit of English here and there.

Your Mata is a love song expressing your feelings to your lover, thanking them for being your joy, loving you and being your peace as well. You're crazy about her, you're insanely in love with this person 🥰 and would do anything for her sake.Your Mata simply is (your matter) in pidgin English. I chose to use pidgin English as I had to make it indigenous to us, make it realistic and truthfully that was the only way I could be expressive. I tried singing it in English but then it just wasn't sounding right and it wasn't flowing at all. I just had to go with the vibes and my feelings at that moment. Love is a beautiful thing if it's genuine and mutual, however love is sacrifice, love is pain....it takes two to tango, so if you find someone who loves you, supports you and cares for you genuinely, ómò hold them tight. No one is perfect and good people are hard to find these days. Appreciate what you have, don't go chasing shadows when you got the light with you. Hola a todos, bienvenidos a la semana #76 de Afri-tunes 🎉. Para esta semana, decidí hacer algo diferente de lo que normalmente hago aquí, ya que realmente no podía entender qué canción versionar... Hice un original 😊, solo tomé mi guitarra y toqué con algunos acordes. la canción salió naturalmente aunque no es tan larga (solo una estrofa y un estribillo repetidos todo el tiempo)... es fácil de aprender, siéntete libre de acompañarme 😉. Para esta semana estaría interpretando una canción mía llamada "Tu Mata". Utilicé inglés pidgin en todas partes y un poquito de inglés aquí y allá.

Tu Mata es una canción de amor expresando tus sentimientos a tu amante, agradeciéndole por ser tu alegría, amarte y ser tu paz también. Estás loco por ella, estás locamente enamorado de esta persona 🥰 y harías cualquier cosa por ella. Tu Mata simplemente es (tu asunto) en inglés pidgin. Elegí usar un inglés pidgin porque tenía que hacerlo autóctono para nosotros, hacerlo realista y, sinceramente, esa era la única forma en que podía ser expresivo. Intenté cantarla en inglés, pero luego no sonaba bien y no fluía en absoluto. Solo tenía que dejarme llevar por las vibraciones y mis sentimientos en ese momento. El amor es algo hermoso si es genuino y mutuo, sin embargo, el amor es sacrificio, el amor es dolor... se necesitan dos para el tango, así que si encuentras a alguien que te ama, te apoya y se preocupa por ti de verdad, ómò abrázalo fuerte. . Nadie es perfecto y las buenas personas son difíciles de encontrar en estos días. Valora lo que tienes, no vayas persiguiendo sombras cuando tienes la luz contigo.
