Wednesday Walk - Start of Fall
Here are a few images from my walks this week for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
Fall is starting here with the golden rod almost ending. The spiders are starting to cover everything just in time for Halloween.
A few of the trees are already turning too. This one might be a Kentucky coffee bean tree leaf, I need to get better at identifying tree leaves.
The red maples turn quick around here. Unfortunately by the time the rest of the leaves are changing the reds are already gone.
My daughter found a nice dogbane beetle. She like having it as a pet for the duration of our walk before it fell into the grass.
This lake has a beaver in it. This time we didn't see it but there were some nice reflections.
I've been looking for sky gaps in the forest to see if there are any interesting shapes. Eventually I'll have enough of these shapes to create something with them.
This spruce forest doesn't really have any good shapes. The tall skinny trees create a nice perspective above your head.
Now some of our walks in the neighborhood are revealing the Halloween fans. This guy always goes over the top each year. I wonder how much they pay in storage fees for all these decorations lol. Maybe they hire a company do decorate for them.
My daughter ran towards this chocolate shop mural. So far she doesn't know this place sells chocolate, I'll try and keep her ignorant of this for a few more years lol.
Now its off to the train station early in the morning. This time it was nice and foggy.
By the time I got downtown the fog disappeared and its off to work again.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
I agree. Nice pic.
Funny manipulation of your daughter. She will be reading soon just to keep you honest lol Great that she is playing with bugs. Good for her to be comfortable doing things like that. I was with a "country" girl that is very outdoorsy. We hike together sometimes. I saw a small snake and picked it. She was freaked out 🙄 No need for that silliness
Haha my wife is the opposite when it comes to spiders and snakes and critters in general. My daughter was really obsessed with the snake eating the toad we found, soon she'll be catching them. You can kind of see the snake just above the branch.
its been raining all day and my basement flooded. I got out the shop vac which I haven't used in awhile and there was a garter snake in it!
There is only one hole near the top where the hose attaches. The snake was probably lucky my basement flooded so he could be set free lol
Haha silly snake vacuumed himself up. There is a house nearby here that gets loads of garter snakes in the basement all the time. They are right next to a wetland.
This Halloween dude is awesome!! looking forward to more close-ups :P
Dogbane beetle find is very nice too. Your babygirl's love to the nature is charming!

I'll have to walk by that house when it is dark, it will be super spooky looking. They even have spooky music and sounds playing as ambience.
