Wednesday Walk - Light Show at the Arboretum
We went to a Christmas light show at the local arboretum for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
This light show includes all kinds of lit up sculptures and synchronized audio to go along with the lights.
Lots of different light structures were programmed with animations to light up the dark areas of the forest.
Laser lights were shooting to random locations in the forest and the sky. The low hanging clouds seemed to catch quite a few of the lasers.
These purple trees had a bunch of little bright white lights floating around them like a swarm of angry fireflies.
Various ornaments were hanging off of structures.
The most interesting parts were synchronized lights with music highlighting all the spooky branches.
This area kind of resembles a grasslands area.
This area had numerous programs based off of different Christmas songs that were modernized. The ground and the trees lit up in strange ways with the music.
This was baby's first experience with Christmas lights. She didn't seem too impressed by them but I think it was a bit of sensory overload and later in the night she had a little nightmare. Perhaps all the zooming lights were a bit too much for her. Maybe next year she'll like them more.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
Your trip on this Habu day will definitely be very enjoyable, I can see from the pictures you shared.
It was fun and interesting and not too cold just yet.
Well, if you say Christmas lights... They look more like an alien show to me :))
Yeah it gets a bit far out there, I might go to a smaller show that looks more like Christmas lights this weekend.
Very beautiful colorful lighting!
I should have tried taking video of the music and light synchronized areas. The one farther north at a botanic garden is even more elaborate. Maybe I'll go to that one next year.
The best thing lit up with Christmas lights - your daughter. Nice picture. Looks like a pretty modern take on the traditional Christmas lights event.
She was quite serious the whole time, must have been a bit too strange to see at that age.
All its play of light was surprising. I really liked the blue and purple trees too. That must have been very impressive for your daughter.
I'm not sure she got it. Maybe next year she'll be more excited about the lights.
Yes she looks very young
Love this post the lights are so cool
Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)
This one was pretty descent, thought the one at the Chicago Botanic Garden is a bit more impressive. Too far a drive to bring the kid along though.
