Wednesday Walk - Dawn of the Dead

It looks like an 80s horror movie in my town for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay

This house goes all out with their Halloween decorations. Their entire front yard is full of graves with bodies crawling out of the ground.

If zombies don't freak you out the giant werewolf will. Perhaps the werewolf is annoyed by all the clicking and clattering of the skeletons beginning their dance of the dead.

Even the ghosts are rising up into the sky surrounding this portal to hell. I'm sure setting this up and taking it back to storage is a sort of hell by itself.

Meanwhile a house down the street is a bit more subdued in their decorations. Just a mean looking jackolantern, a creepy haunted doll and a few graves and skeletons. Thankfully my daughter didn't mind seeing all this madness. I'm not sure she know yet that this is spooky stuff.

I prefer the natural decorations of Halloween. The grass spiders are out everywhere covering everything with their webs.

Lucky seven legs here. Perhaps a bird tried to grab this one and it escaped by only losing one leg.

The squirrels are eyeing everyone's natural jackolantern pumpkins. Great for seeds and eventually fermented pumpkin guts to get drunk off of.

I suspect this year will have subdued fall colors where they don't change all at once.
PSX_20241016_074201.jpg
The reds will be gone by the time all the yellows appear. I've only seen it change all at once maybe twice over the span of 20 years.

As usual the geese are invading all the fields and eating grass. Somehow they manage to stick around all year even when snow is covering everything.

That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)

My goodness, that house really goes way out to creep out the trick and treaters. Yikes! I would stay clear of it if I was a kid. :-)

The leaves are very slow to change this year. I wonder if they won't do well to beautify the countryside all at once.

I'm sure they keep the spirit stores in business. I almost wonder if they just rent all the decorations from a company.

Now that might be. I can't imagine spending that much money on decorations for one holiday.

It’s so cool to see all the Halloween decorations.

The spiders are always nice to see. Their webs fit in so well now.

Have a lovely day 👋🏻😊

I'm hoping to find a nice jumping spider this year to keep as a pet during the winter. So far I haven't been fast enough to catch one.

I was trying the same.
No luck either.
They are just sooo cute. With all their eyes 🥰

Maybe we find one, one day.

They are such fun, and become tame after a while when they realize you bring food.

They probably had the giant skeletons too right? I know there are companies that will decorate for christmas I suspect these huge props are by the same type of company.
