Trippy Thursday - The Lure
Here is another ballpoint pen doodle for this #trippythursday
This giant fishing lure is used to catch leviathan from the depths of the ocean.
It has a pulsing beacon that can send signals through salt water to the huge aircraft carrier above. They solved the saltwater signal issue by blending a computer chip with a dolphin brain.
Most creatures at the depths where leviathan live are blind. In this case the lure has a huge eye that can see via infrared and translate sonar pulses into visual form.
This little compartment holds the scent of sharp cheddar cheese from Wisconsin. Little do most fisherman know the leviathan love cheddar cheese.
Now for the hook. The lure is meant to be gobbled down by the leviathan. Once in its stomach these sharp spikes will expand and release gas bubbles both killing the leviathan and causing it to float to the surface for harvest.
Why go through all the problem of creating a biomechanoid fishing lure?
As it turns out the fish bladder of leviathan has life extension properties. The elite surface dwellers can double their lifespan for the small fee of selling out their respective countries to multinational corporations.
The only side effect of this life extention technology is it turns you into a sociopath. Fortunately most people who can afford this technology are already sociopaths, this will just turn their hearts a tiny bit darker. The leviathan species is planning a counterattack by sacrificing only their diseased leviathans to the fishing lures. Now the elite will be ground zero for the plagues of Babylon.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
where's the love for Vermont?
The pulses calling the leviathon is solid. It will work just like Dune
Ah I should have mentioned leviathan likes Vermont maple syrup for dessert. The side effect of the pulse is it attracts megalodons...
Lovely art of a leviathan lure and spared no imaginative juice on this, quite vivid. Hehehe
Inventing such stories is how I pass the time on my commute into work. The drawing is how I pass the time during long conference calls lol.
A good way to pass time doing what you love. Hehehe
You make me laugh, I don't know where you get all your jokes from, but you make me laugh so much. You brighten up my evening when I hook up with you.
Well done, keep going
The two funniest
They solved the saltwater signal problem by mixing a computer chip with the brain of a dolphin.
Most fishermen don't know that Leviathan loves cheddar cheese.
The most realistic.
Fortunately most people who can afford this technology are already sociopaths, this will just turn their hearts a tiny bit darker 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Its my early morning brainfog that comes up with these random stories.
hahahaha
wonderful detail and cross hatching, you can feel it almost lift off the page, well done and in biro as well! Good job @sketch.and.jam
Thanks for looking :-), I usually use a pentel client ballpoint pen as they are nice and clean to work with to get that crosshatch layered effect.
Nice one
Thanks for looking :-)
