Squirrel Sunday - Metamorphosis
The squirrels are back for another #squirrelsunday
A young squirrel discovered a strange capsule in the field by the humans.
The chipmunk warned him not to eat it.
As usual the young squirrel ignored the chipmunk's advice and gulped it down.
Everything was fine for a day or so but soon the metamorphosis started happening.
First the squirrel lost most of its hair.
Then is started wanting to eat only fish.
finally its metamorphosis was almost complete as it started running towards the lake.
When it emerged from the water it was something completely different.
Turns out it ate some kind of radioactive medicine that the humans use to cure cancer. In squirrel it simply converts them into a reptilian snapping turtle. This morphed squirrel still dreams of running around in the trees eating walnuts, but now it has to face the reality of living on the bottom of the lake eating algae and fish. He should have listened to the chipmunk.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
opps it's really an heart broken story 😐
Is these pictures captured by you??
Yeah I just got them this weekend. The poor hairless squirrel had mange then later I saw a baby snapping turtle and decided to make a story about them lol.
Nice! 😁 Fun happenstance that you managed to get all those pictures.
Just my usual evening walk around the lake. Lots of young squirrels are out and the poor hairless one has mange bad.
Really beautiful pictures. I loved it. ❤️
Thanks for looking :-)

I love the little racks, I'm often out and give them food, nuts and bread. Some of them are almost tame.
One of these days I want to try and tame a chipmunk. Seems easy if you have enough peanuts.
🤣😂🤣
Love the idea of the motionless turtle deep in thought, dreaming about running and jumping and climbing in the trees
I wonder if the little snappers are as mean as the big ones. The poor mange squirrel could be a type of chupacabra once people see it running around with no hair.
