Squirrel Sunday - Alien Device
The squirrels are back for another #squirrelsunday
A squirrel has spotted an alien device. He is alarmed and tells everyone in town.
Old man McGillicutty says aliens don't exist and the device is probably a hallucination.
His best friend believes him but tries to outdo his story with one of his own. He claims to have mated with an alien squirrel girl from Alpha Centauri on a strange space ship...
They both set off to try and locate the alien device in hopes of selling it to the squirrel high council. With all that money they will be able to go to the party where earth girl squirrels are hanging out.
Their mothers both yell at them to be home by 6pm in time for dinner. They are just happy their kids aren't getting into the trash can again.
I'm pretty sure I saw it land over here...
One headed up into the tree for a better look and noticed the artifact from a distance. Quick run over there and get it before anyone else does!
There it is!!! We are going to be rich and popular at school!!!
Before they could get to it the aliens descended from the sky and took it back to their ship. The two squirrels saw the hideous faceless two legged puff aliens just as they left with their prized artifact. Now they are telling everyone in town about the experience and no one believes them, especially the cute girl squirrels they were after.
Only one hidden robin can confirm their story is true. Unfortunately the robin has a thick accent in squirrel language and no one can even understand what she is saying. Fortunately the squirrels made it back in time for dinner and they even made it into a front page story in the school newspaper. This made them very popular with the nerdy girl squirrels in the chess club.

Are these squirrels that live with you always this gray?
Most are gray but a few have an orange belly. Just a few hours south there are white squirrels. North of me there are black ones.
Baseballs vs Apollo era spaceships... I could see it. We have red squirrels and fox squirrels here. I think fox vs eastern grey is a bit confusing but I'm pretty sure they are fox.
Here there seems to be an even mix of gray and fox squirrels. Southern Illinois has strange white squirrels that I have to see sometime. Maybe on a field trip to snake road I can get a shot of one.
