Feathered Friday - Recent Sightings
Here are some recent sightings for this #featheredfriday
All the duckweed is gone in the swamp I regularly visit. Now fall leaf colors are reflecting nicely in the water.
Normally this place would be totally green and gooey covered in turtles. But now there are just a few mallards left.
At a larger lake I found a white heron. Sadly my camera focused on the grass in front of it.
Now I was able to get a focus on it but someone threw some garbage in the background.
Finally it landed on a branch, but right as I focused on it, it decided to jam its head under its wing. Some subjects are tough to photograph.
Seagulls are much easier.
Now for some chickens at a farm eating a piece of pumpkin.
I'm not good ad identifying chicken breeds but this one blended in with the fall colors.
My daughter loved watching them eat and even got to pet them a couple times while they pigged out on the pumpkin.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
Nice captures. Well fed chickens are definitely more kid friendly lol
That's the only time you can actually pet them, when they're chowing down.
Awesome shot, I love the style of the white heron in the second picture.
I wish the plastic water bottle wasn't in the background.
Yes that's right. it's an eyesore. Even though the stork was trying to look elegant.
Thanks again :-)
