These days I have seen high quality publications about aloe vera and its medicinal properties, like the one made by @yiobri , which is quite good. So today I wanted to explain the most appropriate method to collect, instill and cut the aloe leaf (Aloe vera). Being this a medicinal plant, the collection and handling of its parts and of the leaves in particular, must be done in such a way that it preserves its energy value to the maximum, and at the same time it is guaranteed that the plant does not suffer and can regenerate. For this reason, below I explain the step by step of how this process is carried out.
1)Selección de la planta y hoja (penca) que se recolectará: Por lo general la sábila genera “hijos” que son plantitas más pequeñas que nacen al pie de la planta madre. Al momento de recolectar, debe hacerse de una planta adulta y seleccionar una de las pencas del perímetro exterior, porque son más viejas y más carnosas. // Selection of the plant and leaf to be harvested: Aloe Vera generally generates “children” that are smaller plants that are born at the foot of the mother plant. When collecting, it should be made from an adult plant and select one of the leaves from the outer perimeter, because they are older and more fleshy.
2) Corte: Posteriormente se calculan o miden 10 centímetros desde la base de la hoja que está adherida al tallo hacia la punta. Es allí donde se va a hacer un corte oblicuo, de manera tal que la hoja restante se pueda regenerar. Es muy importante el uso de un cuchillo de madera o de plástico, para asegurar la integridad energética de la sábila. // Cut: Subsequently, 10 centimeters are calculated or measured from the base of the leaf that is attached to the stem towards the tip. This is where an oblique cut will be made, so that the remaining blade can be regenerated. The use of a wooden or plastic knife is very important to ensure the energetic integrity of the aloe
3) Instilación y recolección del acíbar: Una vez que se ha hecho el corte, se procede a colocar la penca en un frasco de vidrio limpio, de forma tal que por dos horas escurra el líquido maloliente que tiene en su corteza. Este líquido es la savia de la sábila, y se denomina acíbar, el cual posee un uso medicinal muy importante. Este proceso se denomina instilar. Cabe señalar que se emplea un frasco de vidrio porque se está conservando la calidad energética de la penca y del acíbar. // Instillation and harvesting of the acíbar: Once the cut has been made, the leaf is placed in a clean glass jar, in such a way that the smelly liquid that it has in its bark drains for two hours. This liquid is the sap of aloe vera, and is called acíbar, it has a very important medicinal use. This process is called instilling. It should be noted that a glass jar is used because the energy quality of the leaf and the acíbar is being preserved.
4) Obtención del cristal: Una vez que ha escurrido el acíbar, se procede a retirarle a la penca el extremo del corte, ya que por lo general esta parte se oxida, así como los bordes laterales y corteza superior e inferior, de manera tal que se consiga un cristal limpio de sábila. / Obtaining the cristal: Once the acíbar has drained, the end of the cut is removed from the leaf, since in general this part oxidizes, as well as the lateral edges and upper and lower bark, in such a way that a clean crystal is obtained aloe vera.
5) Manejo del cristal y del acíbar: Este cristal se corta en trozos y se refrigera dentro de un frasco de vidrio estéril con tapa. De igual forma se hace con el acíbar. Al realizar un proceso de recolección, instilado y corte asegurando la integridad energética de la sábila, los productos obtenidos (acíbar y cristal), serán de mayor calidad y conservarán mejor sus propiedades curativas.// Handling of crystal and acíbar: This crystal is cut into pieces and refrigerated in a sterile glass jar with a lid. The same is done with the acíbar. By carrying out a process of harvesting, instilling and cutting ensuring the energetic integrity of the aloe, the products obtained (acíbar and crystal) will be of higher quality and will better preserve their healing properties.

Excelente post, muy bien explicado todo el proceso y de forma sencilla, sobretodo para sacar el cristal de sábila, he visto a varios enredados tratando de hacer este proceso; Definitivamente es una planta muy necesaria en la casa, para heridas, quemaduras, y para limpieza del organismo, así que toda información sobre esta planta,es muy bien recibida.
